So many possibilities with this one...
Farmers plowed under by the Shock.
Farmers plant seeds for title return.

Unless I just overlooked it, I didn't see a number as to how many years this was for.

Hey it creates more merchandising opportunities. LLL fans now have another jersey to buy.

If this continues, and I hope it does, we will see teams that can sell a jersey logo have a significant advantage over those who can't. In general, the logos are going to be sold to local rather than national companies, as the WNBA's reach is not that broad, which gives an advantage to teams in larger cities.
Phoenix would seem to break that rule, but the Mercury made it happen. Still, it's going to be a lot easier for New York to rustle up a million-dollar sponsor than Sacramento.

Good for them! Although I bet Lisa's a little disappointed she couldn't finish out her career w/ "Sparks" on the front. Still, I'm sure she's happy to know her team got some good financial backing.

Smart move, Farmer's just got two hours of advertising on national tv for a song.
I think teams that get more airtime are going to be very desirable for some cheap advertising for some companies.

So if Traveler's Insurance became sponsor of a team would we start hearing stories about the Traveler's salesman and the Farmer's......(Note to self: Stop while you can, fool.......)
