Do I want to see my team in finals? Yes. Do I want to watch them get annihilated by that buzzsaw called the Aces? Nope. Mixed feelings.🤔

Ann Crosby, work your magic!
Wow, I am so not sure how this is going to turn out. The crowd will have to bring the energy.
Yesterday I spoke to a couple of STH and we all wanted the Sky to win so the team could rest. Also wanted the Storm to win. On to the perfect execution of Plan B!

Dang, Sparks fans salty. I used to be one, so glad I found my way home. Go Sky. |
I too am a wayward Sparks lifer until 2019...
For the love of everything that is good. kind and lovely....GO SKYYYYYYYY!!!!
I know the series hasn't been pretty (largely by design) and there has been so much excitement about the beautiful bball in the other series ( A'JA...STEWIE ...CHELSEA.GRAY!!!) but even listening to the online talking heads, basically no one is talking about Chicago....I'm seeing/hearing more discourse about what Conn needs to do to win than what is in the Sky's arsenal. Yeah, we laid an egg last game but are still the defending champs....We were tied for the best record in the regular season...We know how to bounce back and have the ability to get it done!
We don't mind being underdogs.....We don't mind being counted out...We just need to play with urgency, pace, grit, focus, resolve and handle business!! NO MERCY...NO LET UP!! LET'S GOOOOOO!! |
I think there's more talk of what the Sun need to do in order to win BECAUSE the Sky are expected to win this game. The Sun, losing their starting PG, really don't have what it takes to win it all this season. I think Jasmine Thomas has been underrated throughout her WNBA career by everyone but the Sun. She's been a great fit for this team as it's been built and it's a shame she got injured. Unlikely the Sun will be able to keep this team together for next season.

I would like the Sun to win the whole enchilada, but I also want to see the battle of Gray and Vandersloot for point guard supremacy. Aces-Sky would probably be a better series, but I don’t want a repeat champion and I’m petty enough that I don’t want Hammon to get a ring before the Liberty do.

Freakin' Cheryl Flores is going to be an issue tonight, I see.

For the love of all that is sweet and holy, can Alyssa Thomas get her shoulders done already? Please. My shoulder hurts watching her barf up that one-handed shot.
Also, the refs are... interesting tonight. I thought htat was a travel by JJ going into commercial.

LaChina is right. Parker needs to go right at Jones. She's foul-proned.
This version of Parker will not win them this game.
Jones was out of control, runs into Emma, and Emma gets the foul.
*sigh

Jones runs into a stationary Meesemen, but defensive foul because presumably Meesemen is too close to the basket.
Connecticut looks sharper. Chicago having trouble getting above 6 points behind. They have been turning it over, but that may just be good defense causing it.

In that last sequence, Candace was on the floor but wasn't even in the camera tv. Like where the hell is she? I saw 4 blue jerseys active on that offensive possession. Wow.
Thank goodness Allie, Kah, Emma, and Slooty are ACTIVE!
Also, I really like Courtney Williams' game on offense. She is smart...she gets int he midrange sweet shot, and knocks them down.

I couldn't understand why she didn't get at least one of them done when she was already out last year. Somehow I guess she thinks it doesn't matter. Who knows - maybe she wouldn't be any better but it would be nice to see.

What would cause a ref to blow the whistle that late? That should be an automatic review - whistle blown 2 or more seconds after the play.
