I believe Ashley Battle is playing in Spain. Not sure if it's right away or in January, but she's playing overseas. There's a little article on the Lib site that lists a few of the players.

Betty Lennox has signed with Imperial AEL of Cyprus and the EuroCup...

Cyprus? Jeez, Betty knows Betty's gonna lead the league in scoring.

If she stays. I've heard nothing but bad things about that team(organization), that league(again organization). I can't believe she signed with them. They must have promised her a butt-load of money.

Great job on the compilation. Thanks. Where did you find all this info?

Between Spartak, UMMC, and CSKA; there should be some good games.

Agree! Would love to watch these three teams match up! May be better than the WNBA finals..........

Let's get it on!

Quinn with Spartak. Wow, she will have lots of stars to get those assists! What great experience for Quinn. Congrats to Shay too, I like what I've seen of her too with the Lynx.

Woohoo, come on nba/tv, hook us up to these games!

I read somewhere that Nolan received russian citizenship. President Putin already signed papers.

And what is more important, russian federation says that if Russia will play on Olympics, Nolan is going to play for Russia.

Ain't that the truth! Amazing what motivated ownership without nagging salary caps can accomplish. Almost NY Yankee-like in their sheer depth of talent. Wink Sure wish we could do the same in the WNBA.

Am I correct in remembering that monies earned overseas are not taxable income in the US? Also, would this be the same if someone claimed dual citizenship? Just thinkin' that's even better money if so!

just what does one have to do to receive duo citizenship? i get sue received israeli citizenship based on her jewish ancestry, but does nolan have any russian blood in her family line that would constitute claiming duo citizenship?

Wow, hardly no one is going to Spain. I know Rasmussen will be there, as well as others who were already mentioned. But no true stars, they're all headed to Russia or Israel.

The Russians denied Bird dual citizenship, which led her to Israel. Very interesting.

Unfortunately for Diana, money earned overseas by a US citizen or resident IS taxable by the US. If she qualifies, some can be excluded, but it doesn't look like she's there for long enough at a time.

wnba.com’s ‘Offseason 2007-08: Overseas Roster’

http://www.wnba.com/news/overseas_0708.html

looking at the list, the usual suspects (except for becky) will be staying home to promote the wnba.

Vanessa Hayden is in Istanbul, Turkey, according to her myspace page. That is great to hear, glad she's serious about basketball.
