28-18 UConn with 6.5 left iin the 1st half. The difference? UConn is shooting 63% and Syracuse 29%.

Please don't let Brady touch the ball. She is such a bad-handed turnover klutz. |

Refs were on some bullshit
That was the most Nika Muhl game of all time. Gets the all time assist record. Doesn’t score a point. Shuts down one of the best scorers in the country, fouls out cause she shoves someone for no reason. We can’t afford to have her foul out again though.
Paige is special. She looks like a better version of herself. Which is crazy. Can we get one full season of Paige and Azzi please!
Shade and KK are exceptional freshman and have handled team responsibility for non superstar players in a way that I haven’t seen since Ann Strother’s class.
Ice Brady..she’s looked like a rotational player, but just wasn’t tonight. Again, we can’t have our starters foul out. I do wish Geno trusted Samuels more, but she’s also dumb, so I also get not wanting to play two dumb players.
Finally, Syracuse is an outstanding team. They could have beaten anyone. I like their coach, and I hope she builds that program.

I really don't know what to think. UConn usually wins second round games by 20+.
Very nice three-point game and second half grit by Syracuse. Bueckers was great, but too many turnovers and Muhl has to do a lot more than score zero points an commit five fouls in order to for UConn to progress (and for her to have any chance of success in the WNBA). |

Remember Syracuse is a much better team than UConn usually plays. Big difference between a difference between an 8 seed and a 6 seed.

Bueckers' line tonight. 32 pts 56% fg. 10 boards, 6 assists. 4 steals.
My shot of the game for UConn was Arnold made a 3pt shot off a pass from Bueckers with :29 left that was the dagger.
Syracuse is an up and coming team. I liked their coach when she was at Buffalo.
Up next: the Dukies.

Regardless of whether you dislike them or hate them, you have to admit that 30 consecutive sweet 16s is mighty impressive.

I have no idea what C-RAM is, but assume it's some sort of overall efficiency measure. Bueckers is in first place by a substantial margin over second place Iriafen. JuJu 17th, Clark 20th. |

Advanced stats is all the rage in the NBA.
Shooting guards tend to be underrepresented because of efficiency. They are there primarily for scoring, so their assist and rebound total is lower, and they don’t shoot layups all game like post players, so their shooting percentage isn’t as efficient. (These overall stats try and adjust for that - but only someone like Steph Curry really can overcome that.)
And even though JuJu and Clark are technically PG’s, they play like SG’s who have the ball in their hands a lot.
Paige’s efficiency, however, is simply unprecedented for a guard. And then she’s been filling up the stat sheet everywhere else
