A 21 point Lynx butt-whooping over the Lackluster Liberty around mid-second

I turned it on at the 21 point lead. Then NYL decided to play defense and Stewie got her offense going. Now it’s a game.

The Minnesota Nice showed up and decided it’s not nice to have such a big lead. Cut the lead down to 4 at the half.

Why are the announcers acting as if Jones didn't foul Carleton? I don't think it was intentional but she clearly hit her head. 3:13 left in the 4th.

Dojkic was on Pili in the post and I was thinking it was Fiebich since there was no significant guard/post level height mismatch.

Minnesota is good, but this wasn't close. Combined with the Chicago loss at home, New York is not starting out like a super team.

I was wondering the same thing. Despite what the announcers said, Jones clearly got a lot more than just her ponytail. I agree with the call, though - review it because of the contact to the head, but because Jones blocked the ball prior to the contact, it would have been tough to see it upgraded beyond a common foul.

Credit to Coach Reeve, the Lynx look better than many of us anticipated.

Some of the shot selection by the Liberty confounded me. Driving to the basket worked a lot and got them back in it and then they went back to jacking up 3s. If something works, keep doing it until it doesn’t. Stewie was especially guilty of it. Exploit matchups. Lynx played some great team ball and moved the ball well.

every team that is able is going to expose the liberty guards, which in turn affects the posts/wings.

The Liberty do have weaknesses, but the regular season means little to them. It's all about beating Las Vegas in the playoffs.

True. Winning the championship is their only goal. Then the Liberty need to use the regular season as their their personal laboratory to figure out how to maximize their strengths and minimize their weaknesses.
