Alabama vs. Clemson
Georgia vs. Oklahoma
The inclusion of Alabama is to say the least absurd. The team beat no one in the top 15. Their only game of consequence all year was with Auburn and they lost convincingly, 26-14. It was their last game of the year. The game before they beat Mercer so they can't blame the loss on not having time to prepare.
If the selection process is not going to be based on how teams actually play on the field why bother to even play the championship games. The Committee should just tell us who the best team is, instead of who the best four are, and we wouldn't have to worry about football over the New Year. And a few less people would get hurt. Win win

I feel pretty strongly that a team that doesn't win their conference shouldn't be included.

The answer is simple. They need to expand to a field of 8. Each of the power 5 champions gets an autobid into the playoff and then take 3 at-large.

I agree with all the comments except the 8 team playoff, but I most agree with this one. There are 5 major conferences. In the rare situation when either another conference winner (such as UCF) or Notre Dame can make its case to be a top 4 team they can be considered as well, but essentially the final four should be chosen among those 5 conference winners.
I don't like an 8 team playoff because there are already too many injuries. Unless the NCAA were to start really paying these players for all the money they bring in I don't want even more free football from these athletes when Jimbo Fisher can parlay his 6-6 record at Florida St this season into a $75 million contract at Texas A&M.

The field needs to be expanded to 16 with EVERY conference champion and the best independent getting an automatic bid. Use the rankings to get the 5 at-large teams. Until this is done, the playoffs will continue to be rigged for the power 5 conferences. Right now, if you aren't in a power 5 you can forget getting a sniff of the playoffs. It doesn't matter what you do.
For example, if Texas State, in the non-power five Sun Belt has its 4 non-conference games all on the road at Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma and Ohio State and wins them all, and then runs through its Sun Belt schedule undefeated, the Bobcats STILL wouldn't be in the top 4.
If this was the case, I wouldn't have much of an issue with Alabama in the playoff, as they would get an at-large berth. I'm an Alabama fan, but they have no business being in the top 4....not only did they not win or even MAKE their conference championship game, they couldn't even win their division. REEEE-DONK-ULOUS!! Here's hoping Clemson destroys them big time. Like 87-12 big time.

The FCS is down to the semifinals
Defending champion and top ranked James Madison will host South Dakota State. in the other match up number two ranked North Dakota State well host Sam Houston State. The winners of these two games will meet in Frisco Texas for the national championship sometime in January

Amazing Championship game in Frisco Tx as NDSu holds. On to win their 6th national title in 7 years with a win over James Madison that wasn't decided until the final play of the game. Two passionate fan bases migrated West and South to create a great championship atmosphere.
