No one east of the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers usually ever roots for Stanford, but tonight I shall be the exception.

Thank you PAC-12 Network for not hogging all the telecasts for yourselves. ESPN2 I do have.

I am west of the San Joaquin and Sacramento rivers and half the Pacific Ocean but I am neutral on this one. Hard to tell which Stanford team will show up -- if its the "texas" one then it won't be pretty.

In case anyone was curious like I was about Ionescu's availability for tonight's game due to her attending Kobe Bryant's Celebration of Life ceremony in LA earlier: https://twitter.com/adamamin/status/1232022382799278080

I think this means she'll make it back in time to play?

Go Ducks. Remember your last outing at Maples, when you won by 40. Razz

We get to see how much the return of Dodson elevates the Trees.

18-8 after one period. Oregon's pace of play doesn't suit Stanford. They are getting shots but missing. Reminds me of the 1st period of the UO-CT game where it was 22-12 after 1.

Stanford is playing terrible. Oregon blowing them out currently, 32-17.

With 22 points at the half and shooting 30%, the Stanford offense: Not meeting expectations. Needs improvement. Eats moose. Mephitic.

Graves should know by now that if the Trees fall behind there will be calls made. Since the last 5 minutes of the 1st half there have been a half dozen 50-50 calls that have all gone against Oregon. Just more Maples magic. Rolling Eyes

Ionescu 1 rebound away from 1,000 I swear that kid never quits. She’s everywhere on the floor!! At one point I could’ve sworn she passed the ball to herself on a back door to only realize it was Chavez instead Laughing

At the 3Q, Sabrina has ALL of Oregon's assists: 11.

And she's done it! 2K-1K-1K. And TripDub #26. Sabrina playing suffocating defense.

But trees still in it with 3:13 to go...

Ionescu plays like she has established a Vulcan mind meld with her team mates.

Oregon made 27 baskets tonight.
Ionescu scored or assisted on 21 of them.

That was fun.

Despite some moments of brilliance from the usual suspects, Oregon did NOT look on top of their game. Stanford looked WAY off of their best....def not a solid #4, but....who's the better team to take it from them?

Ruthy Hebard: did not have one of her best games in a while, and what Stanford did to limit her scoring is precisely what I think she'll encounter as a pro, so I don't see a bright future as a 5, given the likes of Liz, Syl, etc., to bang with. Last season, in 2 games head-to-head vs. T. McCowan (a distinctly pro-ready 5), Ruthy netted 28 pts and 12 rebounds, total. Not bad, but....

Can she be molded into a serviceable 4 at the next level?

What kind of "magic" is that? Stanford was called for more fouls than Oregon was, and the difference in FTs made in favor of Oregon was the difference in the final score......

Announcers said Sabrina was what we in Appalachia call "pukefied" prior to the game, had been vomiting (maybe sick, maybe just the stress of the day)......good heavens, if she plays like that not feeling well, I'd hate to face her on a good day!
