That’s not too far away so I’m predicting these reps for the teams.

ATL - Collen
DAL - Agler
IND - Catchings
NYL - KSmith

I hope No. 1 goes to the least deserving team as usual, instead of the team that just got a new owner.

Dallas would be interesting...likely would take cox to work with their other centers need inoescu like a hole in the head with diggins etc there

I think the ATL owners are the most admirable keeping the franchise going without getting much in return and not getting much in the way of local support... so who is “most deserving” is a matter of perspective.

History suggests teams rarely consider need with the #1 (quite rightly too, in most cases). It's almost always take the best player, work the rest out later.

But yes, Dallas could potentially have to work out what to do with Diggins-Smith, Ogunbowale, Jefferson and Ionescu (if they took her) all on their roster. Surely there'd be at least one trade.

If we got #1 that would be a nice compensation for not having the ROY. Cool

ROY must be Dallas’s version of the championship. You guys want these awards so bad.

It would make sense to me, unless you think the Dream should draft Cox at #1.

And maybe the 2020 ROY can be the next pick after the Wings' like it was this year. Smile

The Dream aren't getting the #1 pick

I don’t think ATL get the #1 they won 23 games last year. 31 total with the 8 won this year. I hope IND gets it, or Liberty.

I’d say if we’re going by historical context, the only lottery team that’s currently ever selected a #1 Pick themselves was the Dream - once. Otherwise, it’s almost always rewarded to a Western conference team, or Connecticut. The Tulsa/Dallas franchise has been quite unlucky since moving from Detroit, but this year their 3rd-best odds are still better than Atlanta’s. So... I’m guessing 1. DAL 2. NYL 3. IND 4. ATL.
But I’m hoping for 1. NYL 2. DAL 3. IND/ATL 4. ATL/IND.
I want Ionescu to go to the literal city that I think fits her the best out of these four options, and I want Cox to stay home.
If Dallas or Indiana gets #1, I could see either trading down to #2 (so long as the other team doesn’t have it), though either team also might want the glory/marketability in keeping their #1 Pick & just picking who they really want.

I guess they were always hoping for the Cazorla/Ionescu reunion.

Anyways, since championships are all that matter, Arike has the last laugh as her WNBA postseason record is better than Collier's who has already established herself as the worst player in WNBA history in terms of no player in WNBA history having a worse winning percentage in postseason games than Collier.

Secaucus, N.J.? Any chance that means the Liberty's new home might be the Meadowlands?
