Welcome to the 3rd WNBA Rebkell Awards! (hosted and presented by lynxmania Wink) With the conclusion of the 2019 Regular Season upcoming in about 1 week, I figured it's time for us Rebkellians to become voters and submit your ballots for the 2019 WNBA Rebkell Awards. Voting will be just you submitting your ballot in this thread. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, September 11th at the start of the first playoff game. Announcement of the winners will come sometime shortly after the deadline and votes have been tallied.

You can post your winners now, wait until the season is over, post now and edit it until the cutoff, or however you want, but don't forget to vote!

Previous Voting: 2017 | 2018

Well it’s not because only 5 rookies make the team. A’ja lost a vote for All-Rookie team last year because of it. So I thought I’d check it out.

But I’ll edit a disclaimer in since you were confused.

It's probably those damn positions. She's listed as an SF but let's be real, she's as much if a forward as Atkins is. It's hard to put her ahead of the best defensive 4s because those players are generally thought to have more impact (best scorers being posts, rim protection being the most valuable defensive ability). I'll be voting for her in a guard spot myself, more likely than not on the 1st team.

To fix this, All-WNBA teams should be in the format of guard, 2 wings, 2 bigs. Then we only have a handful of players to be unclear about Smile

Again, thank you for your thoughts. Maybe next year we will change it like that, but in the 3 years we've done this, we've only had this issue happened twice [meaning only 2 voters have messed this up] (One voter last year didn't put A'ja on and now you), so it didn't feel like a need to change. But since this has become such an issue, I guess we will take it into more consideration.

I'm waiting until the end of the season to vote, but I am surprised that no one is going with McCowan for 6th Woman.

She's technically eligible. Even if she starts the last two games, she'll have started 16 out of 34 games. Less than half, but I think voters will see that and vote for someone else.

McCowan probably not viewed as 6WOY candidate because she has made the most impact and the Fever have had their most success with her as a starter these past games.

I was very tempted to put Ogunbowale 5th on my MVP list…..but that would’ve forced me to remove McBride or DeShields from my all-league 2nd Team. In 10 Wings wins Ogunbowale is avg 21.8p/2.9a/45%/40%/82%.

How many players have avg 18 ppg and not made the all league 1st or 2nd team?

Leaving Sims off the All-League teams was tough. Her numbers are just as good as Gray's, plus she’s a better defender.

Toliver would’ve made my all league team but she’s only played 23 games.

Jones just missed the cut for All league team, All defensive team and MVP list.

Reminder to submit votes! Looking like the deadline is going to be the start of the Chicago/Phoenix game on Wednesday!
