I know I'm risking being accused of "UConn infatuation" here, but I was curious after a comment by Beth Mowins after the UT-Stanford game where she said "McGraw and VanDerVeer are the only two coaches still in the Tournament with wins against UConn in the NCAA Tournament." So I wondered, "How many active coaches have beaten UConn in the NCAA Tournament?"

Here's the list, active and inactive:

Active:
McGraw: 2001, 2011, 2012 (3-3 vs UConn in NCAAs)
VanDerVeer: 2005, 2008 (2-4 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Fennelly: 1999 (1-1 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Hatchell: 1994 (1-0 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Foster: 1992 (1-1 vs UConn in NCAAs)



Inactive (as far as NCAA):
Chatman: 2007 (1-0 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Goestenkors: 2006 (1-0 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Yow: 1998 (1-3 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Summitt: 1996, 1997 (2-5 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Childers (1993)
Ryan: 1991 (1-1 vs UConn in NCAAs)
Jim Davis: 1990 (1-2 vs UConn in NCAAs)
John Miller: 1989 (1-0 vs UConn in NCAAs)

It's interesting that two of the above are Auriemma mentors (Foster and Ryan who both hired Auriemma as an assistant coach).

Note: Since I did this the "hard" way (manually looking at the UConn record in the NCAAs), it's possible I might have missed some losses to UConn if the coach ended up coaching at another school or I just missed another listing.
