Terps went 12-24 from 3 pt. range. Good chance to see the frosh working. You can't teach tall, but Staiti looks soft and slow. Nice touch in the low post but got pulled way out trying to block shots. Coach B seems to like tall players who are projects, viz., Essence; Yemi. I remember when Lynetta Kizer arrived, she was soft and doughy, too. But she worked, and it showed.

Kaila Charles looks promising. Destiny Slocum shows poise on offense but was getting beaten defensively, especially on the give-and-go. Fortunately, UMBC had trouble finishing. Gotta love Breanna Fraser's energy; pray for a little more discipline. Ieshia Small: I wonder how much is just rust from the year off? She may be a bit of a sleeper: 9 pts. today but can score from inside and out.

Does Shatori ever get rattled? If so, it doesn't show.
