If tOSU gives Baylor a good game, that makes South Carolina's win over the Buckeyes look even more impressive. If Baylor Kicks butt, then that makes UConn's win over Baylor look even more impressive.

I think Baylor matches up very well with OSU, at least in defending Mitchell. They can afford to really pressure her and don't have to be too worried about having her get into the paint because Baylor is so big in there and can alter or block a lot of shots.

We'll just see what happens when OSU packs it in and goes zone to see if Baylor can shoot it well.

I hate to see those stupid touch foul calls that have no effect on the play.

The announcer called Cooper Calhoun. They don't even look similar.

Mulkey in her 'casual' attire for this tourney.

If tOSU could shoot better, they'd be winning, as Baylor keeps turning over the ball. Baylor played much better before the first round of subs entered the game. Buckeyes also getting to the loose balls very well.

19-15 after the first quarter.

Best pbp announcer I've heard since Mickey Dearstone. He calls it like a radio announcer, telling you who shot, who rebounded, whose dribbling -- the game. The color announcer says very little, which is almost as it should be. It should be that: there is no color announcer.

It might be a radio crew.

definiitely the Baylor crew. They're biased, but still pretty good.

'Casual'? She probably feels like she's in her undies. Razz

Ohio State needs either more effective posts or better implementation of what they DO have. Baylor's interior defense is obviously good, but I haven't seen the Buckeyes do anything amazing inside, in any of the games I saw.

Baylor's bigs seem to get a lot more post touches than Ohio State's.

I feel like they totally underutilize Shayla Cooper. She could be a big time player, but instead she seems to always be on the fringe looking in.

And just when I tout Cooper she takes two pretty stupid shots.

I don't see much of an offensive plan for tOSU. They seem to lack plays.

It seems fairly remarkable for Mitchell to appear like the most restrained, disciplined player on the team.

People bashed Mitchell all last year for being a gunner. She still takes a lot of shots, but she's got nothing on Calhoun or Doss or Lewis or Cooper on the rushed, ill-advised shot selection score as far as I can see.

And why has Alexa Hart fallen off the face of the earth?

And Ohio St appears to have no discernable interior defense.

I think they don't really run sets, its just a Mitchell isolation, maybe kick out if she draws a second defender. Try to score a lot in transition when possible so that the defense doesn't get set into their halfcourt D. They shoot very early in the shot clock so just a pass or even two sometimes is the max. On one hand its probably why they only have 4 turnovers at halftime even though they sort of play helter skelter style. But they don't get touches for good players like Mavunga because they are not making many passes.
