Looks like December, January and February all across the Big 10.

Wink ... I get chills just thinking about it.

I accidentally put a game thread in here, so I made the best of it. Every conference should have a general thread.

Former Indiana coach Curt Miller posted this about the Big Ten. Rough start to the season for multiple Big Ten teams.

@CurtMillerWBB Nov 15
More observations: B1G 16-10 overall w/ 8 mid majors losses already. Other four Power 5 conferences combined 77-8 record, only 2 Midm losses

Rutgers and Wisconsin are still winless at 0-3. Purdue and Illinois are 1-2. Not a great start for those sub .500 teams. There are only three losses spread among the other ten teams.

While I didn't check every single conference, I think the American and the Pac 12 are the only two conferences with winning records against the AP top 25. Each has a 2-1 record.

I believe the SEC is 2-1 with SCar beating OhSt and Ky beating Miami, while Missouri lost to Washington.

according to ESPN:
http://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/conferences/standings/_/id/23/year/2017/sec-conference

the SEC is 2-2

Vandy lost to #23 Indiana.

I chose AP, the lists aren't exactly the same. I think the SEC is 2-1 per Coaches poll.

You're right. I was using AP also; I just missed Vandy-IU

Michigan State had to go to overtime to beat a team from the MAC West conference (although an in state rival). I don't think the Big Ten is as strong as it's been in the past. Besides Maryland and OSU.

It looks like it's gonna be real difficult for either Maryland or OSU to build a 1-seed worthy resume in this conference, even if they only lose to each other. In fact, one loss to anyone else, besides possibly Indiana, might bump them down to a 3 or even 4 seed if they're not careful.

IU lost to Western Ky today.

And in other developments, Northwestern lost badly to DePaul, and both Rutgers and Wiscy are 0-3.

MSU pulled out an overtime win over Western Michigan.

In NW's defense they didn't have Coffey.

Sagarin already has the Big 10 as the 5th rated conference. Plenty of time for things (like the fancy math) to change.

Purdue adds to the misery by losing to Southern Ill.

Wis and Iowa trailing mid majors at halftime.

But Butler (Big East) is not really a mid-major abd SDSU is the top-rated mod-major this season. Wisconsin ended up beating Butler although Iowa fell by 2 to the Jackrabbits.

Butler is definitely a mid-major. They don't qualify as anything else, even if they are in the Big East.

Wisconsin won 60-55. First win for the new coach.

If Purdue doesn't fire Versyp this year, I may be done with the program for good.

I think the Pac-12 is now the only conference with a winning record against AP top 25.

They've done well as a conference.

You must be counting "when played" top 25, correct?

Col > Ky
UW < ND
UCLA < Baylor
Standard > Texas

If it's "when played" add UW > Missouri, for 3-2 record
If it's "today" add Stanford < Gonzaga, for 2-3 record

He posted that before today's new rankings came out. At that time, Gonzaga was not in the Top 25 and the Pac12 had a 3-2 record against the Top 25.
