A friendly reminder that picks are due by 10 AM Eastern tomorrow. I will also be instituting a rule that if you edit your picks AFTER the deadline, it will invalidate your picks as I am not positive when I will have time to put these into the spreadsheet. I will post the games for Week 2 at some point this weekend.

Some of us lived in Tennessee long enough to know that Wink And some of us probably just never count the 'Cats out either....at least I don't, as long as Epps and Akhator stay healthy!

I've watched them give Tennessee enough fits plenty of times over the last few years to know that they are a quality team.

Scenarios: As the week draws to a close, there are several permutations for players to walk away with the first weekly title. The key matchups of Georgia-BYU and Richmond-William & Mary will likely decide who wins. The only potential curveball is if UConn beats Baylor, Zvyn is right back into the mix of the lead dogs. The crystal ball will be much clearer after Georgia plays BYU tomorrow night, leaving the last remaining big matchup of the week as the heralded William & Mary and Richmond rivalry. Linkster will edge ahead with a Georgia victory with ZVYN drawing level with the fate of Baylor-UConn hanging in balance, while Shades and Myrtle will set up a battle royale to the end with a BYU victory.

Laughing Hey! 7 is my lucky number, so I should quit while I'm ahead [in my little universe]....however, Cardy-Boi, you shan't be so fortunate. You see, my ONLY goal here is to defeat you at your very own game. As long as I am ahead of you by season's end, I shall die happy. Twisted Evil

Now that I've revealed my motives, I shall expect no rigging of results by you. Shocked Razz

My selections for Week 2 Games:
(....ANDDDD....you'll duly note that *I* do not linger in my selections, unlike those with the initials "Myrtle", etc., who wait and wait, and then copy all of Shade's or Linkster's picks! Rolling Eyes)

Iona: The Gaels rule
Indiana: Duh. The Tyra "Magic" Buss shall see to this.
DePaul: (....but I still love you, Nia)
George Washington: yeah. Jen is here to rock Harry's world.
Duke: Steph has more brains than Joanne, but not the personnel--yet.
Oops! Boston College: yet....who cares anymore? I loved them for so long, but now? [can I change this pick to St. Mary's? I originally thought it was Mount St. Mary's. Def pick California version of the Holy Mom.
Mississippi State: I HATE voting against my beloved Longhorns here, but....Vic has it all over Karen today, while I'm voting and am still remembering TX in Palo Alto.
Iowa State: Just cuz.
Green Bay: You need to ask? Really?
Oregon State: Rah Rah PAC 12
Oregon: This one hurts me a bit, but my beloved Spartans, led by Sissy Spacek (look her up, you millenials Razz) must go down to Mr. Graves' team. Only cuz I adore him.
Oklahoma: TOTAL homerism here, but I really DO believe OK can do it. IFF they're on their A+ game. And the jackrabbits go down a rabbit hole that day.
Kansas State: It's Jeff's turn.
Georgia: just like the home team advantage here
Western Kentucky: DePaul will be too cocky after their win over Northwestern, and die for one game.
Chattanooga: I am NOT betting against Jim, ever again, until he plays Baylor or somebody.
Iowa: Ms. Bluder's got this.
Washington State: ya, Nebraska's gonna feel the hurt for a good while to come.
Rutgers vs. Princeton: Another "Really!?" here. I call this the battle of the Jersey swamplands. And CViv is a slogger, so....I'll go with Princeton!
Maryland: Despite opponents' home court advantage, I think the Terps pull out their best Desert Tortoise impression and carry the day.

whattt?? Fine. A score? Ha. 68-59 DePaul over Northwestern.
