Alright. Coach P up now at Media Day

Brought Greenwell and Lexie Brown ("adding an All American point guard. . ." per P. We'll see.)

Sounds like McCallie has had public speaking coaching. And sounds happy. Maybe things are going well. Or maybe it's just that the season hasn't started yet.

Says this team may be more up tempo. Other than Brown, I'm not sure I see the personnel to support that.

Lexie says (1) she's never had the opportunity to play next to a shooter like Greenwell and (2) expects her assists to be way up.

Hmmmm. (1) If she'd ever bothered to pass she might have discovered Maryland had plenty of shooters and (2) I'll believe that when I see it.

Walz said that while he has all five starters back, he "wouldn't be surprised" if they have two new starters.

Syracuse Coach Q believes he has the best point guard in the country.

There are a lot of talented back-courts in the conference this year, should be a fun season.

That may be what separates the top 5 from the rest. Louisville may be the exception. Durr notwithstanding, I don't see the Card's backcourt as their strength.

But the backcourts of Syracuse, Miami, FSU and ND match up well with any team in the country. And should provide some epic battles when they face each other.

I know I had never yet ridden in a private jet when I was only 20 years old.
Pretty amazing how athletes get around these days.

Two years ago she was third team on one list. As I said, we'll see.

These were her other honor that year:
- All-Big Ten First Team
- All-Big Ten Defensive Team
- WBCA All-Region Team
- Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player

As I said she was the bare minimum AA two years ago, third team on one list, certainly not a consensus AA. And that was a while ago. We'll see if she is now. She's got a lot to prove.

Fair point, because Walker-Kimbrough led the nation in 3 point shooting last season and Rutan was above-average. I guess Greenwell must be good.

Laughing I was thinking that too...well, ya gotta say good things about your current team. And maybe justify the move. Whatever.

They had Lauren Mincy then too, IIRC.

There was no shortage of shooters, if anyone was bothering to look for them.

McCallie talking out her ass again,

Walker-Kimbrough shot 54.5%, lol on Greenwell down 13% from that, no where in the region. Maybe Brown should have come to Stanford as Samuelson is the next current player at 47.3% and she shot above 50% in tournament.

Is this the appropriate moment to remind everyone that Samuelson sunk this shot? I'm not sure I'd like Brown, but damn, Samuelson was insane during the tourney.

After 14 games, here are Lexie Brown's numbers

17.6 ppg
3.2 rebounds per game
3.4 assists per game
3.0 steals per game
47.6 percent from the floor
37.2 percent from three (averaging over 2 made threes per game)
91.9 percent from the free throw line (averaging over 4 made free throws per game)

Brown also set an ACC record with 45 (and counting) consecutive free throws made (which also ranks 11th in the NCAA record book).

And over the last four games - including against ranked opponents Kentucky and Louisville - Lexie has been heating up, averaging 21.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.5 assists for the Blue Devils, while shooting 49 percent from the floor and 50 percent from three.

She's playing better than she ever did at Maryland, and she has mostly ditched the attitude and is playing better team ball.

I don't think her previous performance projected to this outcome.

Guess she's finally getting good coaching.

Yeah, crazy to think an All-American would continue to perform at a high level.

Did you bother to read my post?

This isn't a "continuation"; it's a transformation.
