Good lord, except for Maryland, that's pretty much cupcakes all the way. Is that how you prepare for the Pac-12, by wading through whipped cream? /s

I think it's tough to judge--Kentucky would have been a sterner test had it not had its fall from grace this offseason. Florida is on the upswing, Marquette will be one year older and more experienced, and Middle Tennessee is always a good test.

I'm offended by that characterization of ASU's schedule.

Marquette is no cupcake.

(The empty shell of St. John's, on the other hand, will be quite delicious.)

It still looks better than Baylor, Georgia, and so many other schedules.

I don't understand what is going on in the ACC. I did ask UVA coaches about the schedule - they said they can't announce the schedule until the ACC approved all first. But I'm seeing Duke and UNC making these damned OOC schedules! Joanne Boyle, don't use that excuse on fans like that. We ain't dumb. I hate finding out the schedules in September or October because I need time to plan ahead for the holiday tournaments - I ain't rich to begin with. Argh.

Don't be too quick to put down Missouri State. Kellie is building a tough team down there! But yeah, pretty cupcake-y otherwise, besides them and the ones you cite.

St. John's has finally revealed their non-conference schedule: http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/stjo/sports/w-baskbl/auto_pdf/2016-17/misc_non_event/1617nonconsched.pdf

Nov. 13 at William & Mary
Nov. 17 Duquesne
Nov. 20 Miami
Nov. 25 vs. Virginia # Las Vegas, Nev. (South Point Arena)
Nov. 26 vs. Arizona State # Las Vegas, Nev. (South Point Arena)
Nov. 30 Albany
Dec. 3 Lafayette
Dec. 7 Rutgers
Dec. 13 at Fordham
Dec. 17 Wagner
Dec. 21 JMU

It's... actually pretty strong, if home-heavy, given that we graduated pretty much our entire offense.

At least you're not Colorado travelling to play Mississippi Valley State on their home court. I much prefer this to the Buffaloes schedule.

At first, I thought you meant to type Williamsburg, but I couldn't think of why you would think that Queenie would go to one of the few OOC road games on the schedule, given that there are so many opportunities to see great home games. But then I realized that you didn't notice that the site of the JMU-St.J's game is Queens.

Good lord, except for Maryland, that's pretty much cupcakes all the way. Is that how you prepare for the Pac-12, by wading through whipped cream? /s

Since you consider both Florida & Kentucky cupcakes, exactly how can you consider the SEC to be a strong wbb conference? Other than these two "cupcakes" only SC, TAMU & Miss St offer any legit competition for Tenn in a 14 team conference.

If TAMu is legit competition for The Vols, it will be another rough year in Knoxville. I see the Aggies finishing in the lower half of the league next year.

Good lord, have you SEEN the actual state of the Kentucky team for this year? With the mass defections, etc. I believe they have only 7 or 8 players left. While they still have Makayla Epps and Maci Morris, they are in a pretty sad state. As for Florida, please note that the schedule says Florida OR Long Beach State....so they may not play Florida at all. Now if they do, Florida is definitely not a cupcake. But Kentucky of this year is not the Kentucky of years past, sadly.
