Tamika recently became the first woman to receive the National Civil Rights Museum Sports Legacy Award. She was honored along with Spencer Haywood and Jalen Rose, for "contributions to civil and human rights, and for laying the foundation for future leaders through their careers in sports in the spirit of Dr. King.”

She also just participated in Mentoring Summit 2016, a project of the NBA and WNBA, where she took the stage to talk about the effects of mentoring. She is well known in her adopted city of Indianapolis for her mentoring projects and her work with youth and with the hearing impaired community. Her basketball camps are always packed. She's an inspiration.

I wonder if she's considered coaching after she retires this year. Just a thought.

Per Twitter, Catch has been interning at the NBA HQ, so I'm guessing her future may be in administration. Mentoring on the side, most likely.

I seem to recall reading that Catch was interested in GM-ing a team. Can't remember where I read that, but the NBA/WNBA internship certainly would provide insight to that sort of back office work in the leagues.

She'll probably be damn good at it.
