Insell vs. his former team in UK, where I think he helped recruit a few of these players. Game is at Ole Miss, which has a brand new arena that I am seeing for the first time. The pictures online look really nice.

In a game filled with offensive fouls. I cracked up when a Miss guard drove the lane and a Kentucky defender took up position to draw a charge. The ballhandler lost control of the ball and it hit the kentucky defender in the chest, who was so intent on drawing the charge that she fell backward in a flop when the ball hit her. LOL

I had been impressed this year that with the assistant coaching changes Ky seemed to finally have a competent half court offense. Tonight they look like the same old Ky - transition basket or nothing.

So they're well under their season scoring average so far this game, and so far they're losing to a 9-9 Ol Miss team.

You still feel like they'll win this, but surprised they're losing.

Well no, they didn't win. Kentucky goes down 73-65.

Puts Ky behind Tenn into 7th place in the SEC. Not wherethey looked like they'd be a month ago. (LSU solidifies its hold on last place. Way to go Nikki.)

Semi-interesting game. KY did not look like a #9 ranked team, at any point during my viewing. Ol Miss looked decent enough to beat them, with some talented pieces. Not the SEC's finest.

I stepped away from the TV just as Thompson got injured. Anybody know what happened to her?

I believe she took an elbow/forearm/whatever to the chin or face area during a rebound effort. She was back pretty quickly.

Rolled her ankle near the end of the game. Was not walking well at all.

No - do you mean when she went out in the 4thQ with an ankle injury? She stepped on an Ole Miss player's foot going up for a transition layup and rolled her ankle.

Unfortunately she seemed to be in a lot of pain and was carried off the court after she had tried putting weight on it.

Duh on me. Yes, you're correct. I watched 5 different games last night. Laughing I don't know WHO got elbowed on a rebound, but somebody did. Razz
