Not sure why Tenn and Notre Dame games get relegated to the "other games" thread but whatever.

Good game between Tennessee and Albany going on. 30-28 at the half.

Not sure what the deal is with Tenn. They have by far the biggest player on the court and some terrific offensive talents like DeShields and Carter and Graves but the offense remains stagnant. The ball gets passed and dribbled around the perimeter with no real progress being made. Russell has a total of 2 shots in the entire half (and a whopping ONE rebound). But Dunbar jacks up (and misses) a three from about 6 feet behind the arc in the first five seconds of the shot clock.

Albany is outscoring Tenn in the paint.

I expect Tenn to win, but they sure haven't looked dominant.

I think Shades is just selecting games based on interest, but it does seem strange that Tennessee/Albany is not listed here given it should be fairly competitive. The same cannot be said of Notre Dame/Denver. Of course anyone can just start a thread here, so you could have just started one yourself!

Another underwhelming TN performance.

Free throws made it look better than it was. Albany had a couple of chances to tie in the last minute, but couldn't, and then there was some mystery technical called to add to the margin.

BTW, my approach is to NOT start new threads. To keep some semblance of order here I post in the "other game" thread if Shades has not created a sticky thread. Otherwise we have situations of people starting brand new threads in the 4th Q of a game after the game has already been discussed for over an hour in the "other games" thread. As has already happened.

I still wonder what the LV record would be if they'd risked venturing out of Knoxville this season.

I thought I made too many threads the way it is..... considering I researched and posted all ten threads for the 27th through the phone, and considering the holiday lack of participation. Posting game threads through the phone is a bit time consuming. Getting timely updates for these holiday tournaments is also challenging.

ND hasn't been going against good competition. Is this your passive-aggressive way of politely asking for a ND thread for every game? Art, you seem to have abundant time on your hands. Maybe you should take over and show us how to do it right.

Listening to the UCLA v La. Tech broadcast, the game precedes the Denver v N. Dame game. UCLA radio announcer states that Briana Turner for N. Dame had her arm in a sling and wasn't dressed for today's game. She supposedly injured it on Monday in practice.

There is a video feed from the Junkaroo Jam, but it's pretty unwatchable for me. Maybe some of you will have better luck, but this is a way to watch the ND/Denver game:

Albany played 6 today out of a roster of 14. And 3 of them combined for 9 points. They were gassed midway through the 3rd period and yet had shots to actually take the lead midway through the 4th quarter.

A really good team can have a bad game and lose or almost lose to a supposedly much less talented team. Tenn has had too many close games against over-matched opponents. All at home.

If Texas really deserves their #8 ranking then there could be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth in TBA on Sunday.

Turner will have her arm evaluated on Monday which I assume means she misses the UCLA game too.

Huffman started in place of Turner, and with four guards and Westbeld starting, ND leads Denver 50-15 as we approach halftime.

Louisiana Lafayette stuns Arkansas 67-59.

Marquette escapes the winless column by beating Holy Coley's Alma Mater.

Arizona struggling with North Texas, 34-32 in the Fourth.
Shocked Lord, pray for these teams to find some offense....

Anyone can start a thread in this forum, it's not a designated responsibility. It might even be easier on Shades if other people adopt a team.

Just got back from LIU, where Florida State laid the smackdown on LIU 78-42. LIU is not ready yet. I really like Adut Bulgak- she moves very gracefully. I also want to keep an eye on freshman Maria Conde; she's gawky and she's raw, but she could be very, very good.

They mad cuz JMU put the hurt on them Monday. It won't last. They're also pretty slow and don't read the floor very well.

I have every reason to root against Liberty University as a gay man, but I'm still finding myself rooting for the proverbial underdog--mainly cause I want another top team besides Stanford to lay the goose egg.
