I thought I would post these up when I see them, almost always from sportstvratings.com with figures in viewers. They are not available for all games, but useful when we get them.

UConn vs Ohio State, ESPN2 411,000

It was pretty solid for a blowout, beating all the Men's College Basketball yesterday by an overwhelming margin.

Princeton vs Seton Hall, FS2 5,000

That number is pretty much within rounding error range, so is not really worth much.

It's probably too early to tell. ESPN put out a lot of positive PR about the Notre Dame-UConn numbers though.

I am not sure we that reliable information for last season, which is why I am bothering to compile this, so we can see what happens by the end of the season.

According to Sports Media Watch:

"The Notre Dame/Connecticut womens college basketball game had 680,000 viewers on ESPN last Saturday afternoon, up 10% from the same matchup in an earlier timeslot last year (618K). "

BTW, regarding the ESPN hype, SMW continued:

"Final ratings for the game were unavailable, but the low viewership total seems incompatible with the 1.5 overnight ESPN reported earlier in the week. "

All of these numbers are basically too small to be statistically valuable, but here:
1/3 Duke vs Syracuse ESPNU 38,000
1/3 Arkansas vs South Carolina ESPNU 55,000
1/3 Oklahoma vs Baylor FS1 83,000
1/3 Tulane vs Memphis ESPNU 17,000
1/5 DePaul vs Seton Hall FS2 3,000

It is nearly impossible to get final ratings for broadcast networks on Saturdays. Sometimes places will post the overnights, which are a percentage instead of total viewers, but I did not see any for this game.

Are numbers for games on the regional networks like the ACC games, or the SNY UConn games available? What about SECN or LHN games?

Somewhat of an aside, but is there any reason why more WBB teams don't play on Fridays? Take today for instance, barely any MBB games to compete with, no CFB, no NFL. Instead there are a lot of games on Saturday and Sunday, with a lot of competition. Today would have been a nice day for a few nationally televised games. I guess Friday evening ratings are worse but I can't imagine Saturday-Sunday being better when there are a lot of NFL/MBB games on.

Generally not. I think I have all of the nationally rated networks mentioned here at least once. Networks themselves have to pay to be rated so ones with a regional focus generally only get regional numbers for themselves. Numbers themselves exist somewhere, but generally we cannot see them unless a network included them in a press release.

I was going to post something like this at some point. The ACC and Pac 12 used to have full slates every Friday. I don't know if there are TV factors or if there is an issue of trying to attract certain fan demographics to the game that would not go on a Friday. I miss them dearly and wondered if anyone else did. Then again, my life is so boring that even monks would probably find my typical Fridays unbearable.

The PAC has several games tonight. But they're all buried on the PAC Network where most people can't see them.

It looks like the Pac 12 is going back to the traditional Friday-Sunday scheduling this season, which is cool, although I don't have Pac 12 Network either.

Unfortunately, men's TV changes are affecting previous conference efforts to have separate men's and women's game days. Now we have Pac 12 games on Wednesday and Sunday, SEC games on Thursday, and ACC games on Monday instead of most of those being exclusive days for women's games.
