You should have said "UConn Women."
The men wore them.

Almost every athlete from a Nike-sponsored team has donned a T-shirt during the last two weeks bearing the catchphrase “Always Reppin’,” the company’s chosen slogan this March. Oklahoma players wore the T-shirts for their game against the Aggies, who are sponsored by Adidas.

I couldn't figure out what the hell they were for awhile. At first I thought they were something distributed by the tournament committee. Anyway, I agree, they were dumb.

This is nothing new. Nike and Adidas have been issuing these shirts to "their" teams for several years.
"Made in March" was Adidas version this year.

They were silly and I noticed UCONN never wore them...but it made it clear which schools were Nike schools...so I guess that's a win for Nike.

My daughter asked me what those shirts actually mean, and I could not, with any sort of confidence, provide an answer to her question.

Well, when Oklahoma loses by 40 plus points in the men's Final Four, I would be confused as to what "Always Reppin" meant to. Because if that effort is meant to be representing themselves or the school, they need to give those shirts back. |
