Just read in the Columbus Dispatch that Cait Craft suffered a broken hand in practice on Tuesday and is done for the season.

She doesn't seem to contribute on the stat sheets but must be doing a lot right to be averaging 25 min/game.

She's fairly important on the defensive side.

Even undersized, he has the task of the best offensive player on the other team. It is huge.

There is a school of thought that the most obvious metric to measure player efficiency is minutes played. After all, it's presumed the coach knows her team the best, and she's going to play the players who she thinks give her team the best chance to win. Thus, minutes played reveal the most efficient/effective players because, presumably, they give the team the best chance to win.

Now maybe the coach isn't that bright, but one does have to give some credit to very successful coaches ... and in this case, it would indicate Craft is the fifth best player on the team.

Also note Ohio State only played seven players with any regularity, and that number is now six. Do the six play more minutes or does one of the reserves suddenly get thrown into the biggest game(s) of the year?
