3pm espnU

Inside the Series...

SHU leads the all-time series with Robert Morris 22-10
Just like the previous season, each team picked up a regular season win on its home court
Always playing each other close, over the last five years the average margin of victory between the two teams is nine points, three of those nine games were decided by less than five points
The Pioneers have faced Robert Morris four times in the NEC Tournament, winning twice and losing twice, including the falling to the Colonials in the 2007 championship game by just two points, 68-66, for SHU's only championship loss

This had been a well played game. Good ball movement, good passing, good defense. Better played, better coached, than most mid major tournament games I've seen this week. No embarassment to the game here.

Buscaglia gets one more game!

Was it just me or was Fortner really buffing the son's resume there? It's like, Nell, we get it, the dude's been there.

Well, there's UConn's first game.

Would've been if Sacred Heart had won. Robert Morris (Pittsburgh) is within driving radius of Notre Dame so will 99% get sent to face the Irish.

Someone really needs to teach her that it's ok to pause at least long enough to take a breath once in a while. I think what you are referring to was just a manifestation of her obsession with filling every millisecond of airtime with mindless babble. She had it listed as a talking point and when she couldn't think of anything else stupid to say she rolled that one out to waste time.

It's 400 miles to South Bend, 500 to Storrs. Not determinative.

Weird that I didn't know this, but I just looked at the travel rules and the bussing radius is 350 miles for men's and women's basketball as opposed to the 400 for all other sports, so indeed Robert Morris just misses the automatic trip to Notre Dame. They're still probably most likely to go there, but far from certain.

How sad for the NCAA - 1 more charter flight they'll have pay for.

Depends if they're the #64 seed, doesn't it?
