Good pickup, I had glanced in her direction a few times.

sooo... FAIR WARNING:

Calbearman has not posted for close to two weeks. Hopefully he is ok! (I would make a snide remark about Cal fans, but since a Cardinal fan also took a vacation... Wink )

Typically if someone deserts us, we either A) try to find a new manager or, failing that B) have a dispersal draft. So I would like to give fair warning. If Cal doesn't show up by Sunday evening, hopefully someone else (yoo hoo, previous owners!) will step in. Please let us know if interested. It's a decent team but definitely needs some management here down the stretch.

My first hope of course would be that Cal shows up.

sooo, IF Calbearman doesn't show up and/or an alternative volunteer owner for his team, I would propose we start dismantling Crying or Very sad his team Sunday evening at 9 pm Eastern with a rolling draft starting with whoever is in last place at that time.
At this point that would be
zvyn, followed by
Cardinal
Tbinta
Matt
Pureform
Me

This will not be a snake format. So after me, Zvyn will get pick #7, Cardinal #8, etc...

Points to consider.
1) It would be good to get through everyone by Tuesday evening and sooner if possible, and I would say you cannot play your new player until after everyone has gotten their first pick.
2)Remember you will need to drop someone in order to acquire a new player. If you don't want to take any player who is left, you can simply pass, and the next fantasizer can then take someone or not.
3) In order to expedite things and since I pick last, if you won't be around during this time (or maybe even if you will be) please send me a PM with a list of players, in order, that you will take if available when your turn arrives...and the player(s) you would drop to acquire that player(s). Please also be explicit if you would take a player in the second round or not. I can then post it in order and we can do this quickly.

Again, the first preference would be for Cal or a new owner to appear first!

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Miss Shepard of Nebraska. She's going to be a GREAT addition to my squad. She's exactly what I've been looking for. Twisted Evil

Anyway, Sunday:

Alright, Ladies!

Army Kelsey Minato, G,
Austin Peay Tiasha Grey, G
Bryant Breanna Rucker F
BYU Lexi Eaton Rydalch, G,
Columbia Cammille Zimmerman F
Miami FL - A. Motley, G
Michigan Katelyn Flaherty, g
Morehead St. Miranda Crockett, G
Nebraska Jessica Shepard F
Notre Dame Brianna Turner, F
Northwestern Ashley Deary, G
OSU Sydney Weiss, G, IR
Syracuse Alexis Peterson G
Tennessee Mercedes Russell C

As far as I can tell, this is Cal's active roster. I propose that if Cal, or a replacement manager doesn't show up by 9 PM, Eastern Time, ZVYN may go ahead and make the first pick of the dispersal draft. There are some good players here (Shepard shall be all mine! I can't wait!) just know that you are going to have to drop one of your fabled stars on your team in order to pick someone up.

Myrtle, I'm assuming that this dispersal draft will not count towards the transactions of the week?

I'm disappointed that no-one had Remy Davenport of Omaha on their team. I mean, 10-15 from downtown? 30 pts, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks. Come on people, do better.

I think that should be correct, and yes your list is correct. Some nice players there. I'm surprised nobody has wanted to take over the team...and I start to worry about bearman. Now as it turns out Matt and Pure are tied so I had a third party flip and Pure 'won' so this is the order:

zvyn
Cardinal
Tbinta
Pureform
Matt
Me

zvyn
Cardinal
Tbinta
Matt
Pureform
Me Laughing

After round two if there are still players available they will go into the general first come, first serve free agent pool. So if you sign someone after the second round, it WILL count toward the weekly transaction limit.

Matt has sent me his list. I'm hoping everyone else will be here but if not, we will have to decide what to do.

Well, I guess Zvyn isn't showing up? Do we give him 12 hours to make a pick, or?

Good choice. She's by far the highest on my list.

So cardinal's on if he's still around. Otherwise we'll resume tomorrow.

I see that my misdirection didn't work.

In a move that may surprise most pundits, I'll take Camille Zimmerman of Columbia, and drop Marena Whittle, North Dakota State.

Wittiness does not appear on demand. Good picks, and not so unpredictable. Still wondering what happened to our Calbearman though.

I do wonder what happened to him. It's very sad. I don't know what more we can do though.
