SEC scheduling conflict, apparently:
Maggie Dixon Game In Doubt
Auriemma said UConn's hope to play in the Maggie Dixon Classic at Madison Square Garden is in jeopardy. An SEC scheduling modification has apparently taken Kentucky out of the mix and the Huskies may now be looking at just another nonconference game away from the Dixon format.
"We have no idea what's going on with that right now," Auriemma said. "If they can't come up with an opponent that is suitable, we will have to go in a different direction. We've been working on this for some time. Something happened along the way that caused confusion. I thought we had it done." ... Auriemma said he was not overly concerned about Jefferson's concussion. She was taken to a hospital for observation and released. She is expected to be ready well before training camp.

| My understanding is that Maryland has stepped in. It will be a Tues. Dec 8th double header with West Virginia and Virginia as the undercard.

I thought is was Monday, Dec. 28 at 8:30. But in either case it is a weeknight which makes it difficult for me to attend. I am disappointed.
