After listening to her family (I assume) at the Gulf Coast Classic last fall, I am not surprised.

GA Tech is a tough school, I wonder if she wasn't cutting it academically. Just a thought.....

The way the release was worded, I don't think the "mutual agreement" was for academic reasons.

Based on rumor and innuendo, this Georgia fan hopes Kaela (and Kendra) find somewhere else to go.

I wasn't saying there are rumors she's coming to Athens, I was talking about the rumors that came out when she decomitted from Tennessee.

I wonder if Dawn rings her up. High risk/high reward but Dawn may need to take a chance for the '16-17 season. The post will be solid with Coates, Wilson and White, but the returning guards/wings won't exactly strike fear in the hearts of opponents. I realize the 2016 class isn't finished (or in Dawn's case hasn't begun) but I can't see any of the uncommitted guards/wings being the answer as freshmen.

I expect more more Ga transfers. Joseph has about 17 players for next year - well 16 now.

Ga Tech is recruiting a lot of international kids and kids north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Joseph's staff doesn't seem to have much connect with the local talent.

Ga Tech seems to have a lot of player attrition and assistant attrition, and its not assistants getting better jobs. Joseph's intensity may be tough to handle but they seem to always have big recruiting classes.

As far as Davis I could see her at South Carolina or Kentucky. She's from Georgia so the SEC likely has appeal but those teams could use some perimeter firepower. I think only a top team desperate for a wing scorer would take her otherwise its not worth the issues. Shoots a ton, turns it over a lot and I guess has family coaching from the stands.

all you need to know, a month or so after the Malice at the Palace Mr. Davis ran into the stands to calm his wife down from a fight with an opposing fan. The NBA gave him 2 games and otherwise the reaction from everybody including the NBA brass was "Have you MET his wife?!?!" it was basically a joke because well they be cray cray LOL

45.9% TS%, 41.7% eFG%
.364 3PAr despite shooting 29% from 3
Nearly twice as many turnovers as assists
.232 FTr despite being a superior athlete

Where's the appeal?

When we wrote that she quit her high school team, we got calls and threats of legal action. We refused to back down, since we were right, and they faded away.

Very sad, all the way around ...

I've never been overly impressed with her play when I've seen her. Seems to play kind of slow or lazy on defense. Maybe it's just the games I've seen her plan in. Doesn't seem to drive to the basket a lot either. I wonder where she will end up. Someone will def want her.

Apparently Tennessee wants nothing to do with her.

Don't Kaela and Diamond have a....sparkly (?) past between them, as 2 contemporary standouts in GA? Interesting. Kaela clearly has talent. It's really too bad if this *stuff* is being generated by mama.

Again, what has Deshields done expect transfer, like hundreds of other players do?

Oh, I didn't mean to imply Diamond *did* anything....just that the 2 gals--stars throughout their careers in GA--were clear on their intent to NOT play together in college. (maybe I should have said *sparky* in stead of *sparkLy*. Razz
