It's always impressive to see the multi-sport athletes. Emmonnie competes in Track and Field as well and captured both the shot put and discus titles at the ACC Championships this weekend.

Go Emmonnie!! Good luck to her in the NCAA's. Hopefully she will make just as big of an impact as an upperclassmen in basketball next season. She has great footwork for a big girl!

Emmonnie qualifies for the NCAA Championships in both events, finishing 9th in the East in the shot put and squeaking into the last discus spot at 12th. I think there was some sort of protest involved related to another competitor ahead of her that allowed her to get the spot, but I do not have details.

Emmonnie finished 14th in the discus at the USA Track and Field Championships. I wonder if she will pursue a track career after college?

Emmonnie has chose to focus on track and field with hopes of qualifying for the 2016 summer Olympics and it sounds like she will not play basketball this up coming season. As a Louisville WBB fan this is disappointing because last season she was really starting to improve and was a force inside with her strength, however I understand her decision and hopes she makes the Olympics and does well.
