As bad as it is, I would take the Pam Ward, Carolyn Peck, LaChina Robinson team for every game I ever watch the rest of my life if it meant never having to listen to Burke and Rowe again.

If you're in Albany I hope you're seated far enough away that you don't get any of Burke's UConn slobber on your clothes.

The Ward/Peck/VaChina team is the worst of those listed. Ward's anti-CT bias should appease the UConn haters here. (I wonder if she'll be wearing a "Lloyd For POY" button on camera?)

Burke does know her shit, but long ago became more interested in presenting herself as one who does, rather than just adding insight to the telecast.

Her penchant for droning on about players (not just Huskies, my poor tortured friends) and other non-game crap while ignoring the on-court action is infuriating.

But, she wasn't always like this. She used to be one of, if not the, best at it in WCB. This was a looong time ago, well before the peroxide and face work. Does anyone remember when Jay Bilas did WCB? I ask this every season at this time. Boy were we lucky back then. HE was the best.

White emulates Antonelli too much for my liking. It's still early in her career...I think she can be a good one.

Not to be a jerk, but here's what I really think: None of this is a really big deal. Most of the flaws with the people thrashed above I can see as possibly true reading about them but for years have watched most of the games with little attention to who the announcers were.

The only thing I ever noticed is that Mary Murphy, who I also have no real problem listening to, forces a little more excitement into her voice than is part of her actual personality.

Of course, I live in Washington so am forced to listen to Dave Sims do Mariner games on TV and anything seems like Vin Scully or Bill King after that.
