In which ESPN breathlessly announces "a full national window showcasing top-seeded UConn vs. No. 16 St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, March 21, at 9 p.m." Compelling stuff, that.

How can they be so goddamn stupid? A good portion of UConn fans don't want to watch it.

Who are the morons that make this decision? I would like to engage them in some discourse.

Now don't fret, ESPN isn't going to deprive UConn fans of plentiful viewing opportunities. But wouldn't it be nice to have an alternative for basketball fans looking for a competitive game?

You should be. Tampa, Storrs, Tempe, Stanford, South Bend all good. Tampa is a terrific duo.

But Knoxville, Waco, Berkely, College Park, Lexington, Columbia, Talahassee all are horrible.

Ros is the Warriors sideline reporter now. I personally give her mixed reviews on her work this season.

Boo to them sending Flemming to his alma mater... and also not sending Sunderland to Durham.

Well, they wouldn't DARE send Coach G to Durham....although I think it would be wickedly funny if they did....but I'm glad to have her in Knoxville. At least she doesn't talk about inane stuff whle the game is going on. I wish I were going to be in Knoxville, but *sigh*

Some puzzling decisions. I was glad to see that the whole state of Ohio gets the Arizona State/Ohio game. But why does only the Dayton area get Iowa State/Dayton, and the rest of Ohio gets whip-around for that game?

Looks like in general the dedicated coverage is VERY narrowly drawn, often only one station per school.

Maybe they think everyone can watch the game they want on WatchESPN.

Because ESPN probably doesn't realize that in Ohio and nationally, Dayton has a bigger fan base than Ohio U. They got it wrong.

Go Flyers!

So expect to see Duke up 30 on Albany, Baylor up 30 on NWesternSt, SCAr up 30 on Savannah St, ND up 30 on Montana etc. etc.

Will they start the country w/Princeton-GB Sat.?

Thank god it's all on espn3.

Knowing ESPN, they probably think that Ohio and Ohio State are the same school.

Oh Good Lord just reading some of those names makes my ears hurt!

Mary Murphy must take turns living in a hut underneath the courts of the Pac 10.

And here I foolishly assumed that because I live 20 miles from Seton Hall, I would get to watch that game.

Oh how people forget the past...this is by far, from top to bottom, the best announcing combinations the networks have had, IMO.

Sure they may be some better individuals not involved, but overall? ESPN is slowly putting together excellent, experienced announcers.

The only one I see that is unlistenable is Columbia. I'd rather listen to fingernails over a chalkboard. Undoubtedly Peck will focus on each coach's hairstyle or outfit, and Ward will constantly reference her "favorite player" Tamika Catchings throughout the course of the game.

I feel exactly the same way, HATE the whip-around coverage! I bet they will show UCon's entire game. It burns me up that they show all of each of the men's games, no whip-around there! ESPN has other channels where they could show the women's game. If the games I want to see are on watch espn then that is where I will watch.

They will show the entire UConn game. That's why it gets it's own special (late) time slot.
