I would LOVE it if I could actually SEE Pac-12 games, however my budget will not allow subscriptions to all these "privately owned" networks so I have to make do with what my cable company deigns to let me have. I appreciate what I get in terms of information here.

This was posted earlier in the thread by scullyfu, but it bears repeating for those who missed it or forgot about it. And I'm not positive, but it looks like you maybe even be able to watch some replays of the games from the first 2 days as well.

Here are some interesting facts about the Pac-12 Tournament at the conclusion of Day 2.
For just the 2nd time the defending champion lost in the first round of the tournament (Arizona State in 2003)
Oregon State becomes the first #1 seed to not advance to the semifinals, and the 2nd #1 seed to not advance to the finals (Stanford lost in the semifinals in 2014).
Of the 4 teams that have won the Pac-10/12 Tournament Championships, 2 have advance to the semifinals, and they will be playing each other to go to the finals (Arizona State vs Stanford).

i've been watching the Pac-12 tourney and have been thoroughly entertained. the game last night between the Colorado and OSU was a corker!
the Pac-12 is getting better all the time. so glad to see that the final will actually be on ESPN2 (?) so they can get greater exposure. there is some exciting ball out west.

Is Cal a team that now needs the 3 pointer to win a game?
Cal is now on a 6 game streak of sorts.
Going from the most recent game back 6 games
Cal vs UW - 8 for 20 for 40% on three pointers - Cal wins
Cal vs OSU - 0 for 7 for 0% on three pointers - Cal loses
Cal vs UO - 11 for 25 for 44% on three pointers - Cal wins
Cal vs Stanford - 8 for 19 for 42% on three pointers - Cal wins
Cal vs Stanford - 4 for 20 for 20% on three pointers - Cal loses
Cal vs USC - 1 for 11 for 9% on three pointers - Cal loses
Overall on the three wins Cal is 27 for 64 for 42%
on the three loses Cal is 5 for 38 for 13%

IM, that seems true to me, but with a twist. Cal has been such a bad outside shooting team and so strong inside with Gray and with Boyd driving to the rim, that teams sag into the paint and dare Cal's shooters to beat them. Stanford certainly does that to an extreme.

It's true. In that loss to LBSU (current RPI: 107), Cal went 0 for 10 from beyond the arc. In their loss to Kansas (current RPI: 100), Cal went 2 for 11 from out there.
When Cal hits their 3-pointers (as they did both times they played UCLA, darnit), they're a very tough team to beat, 'cause Cal's always gonna find open looks (on account of defenses, by necessity, doubling Gray and/or Boyd). But when the Bears don't hit their 3-pointers, they can struggle.

Wouldn't it be something with all the talk of Stanford having "fallen off their perch" or having a down year and this being their year of parity in the Pac-12 Stanford wins the Pac-12 Tournament the 11th time.

It still amazes me that Cal is only in their second Pac-12 Tourney Finals. You'd think that there'd be more over the Devani Hampton Years.

Something off there. This is only the 2nd Cal final, but the 3rd Stanford vs. Cal final?
