Not a fan of whatever algorithm Bennett Rank uses to rate teams, but they've got their eyes open to good coaching jobs, even by coaches in small western towns:

Mark Trakh did some major in-season surgery to his New Mexico State team's style of play and has won 18 of the last 20 (the two losses by 5 and 4 away from home to strong teams) after starting out 0-5.

I can honestly say I knew Scott Rueck would do great things at OSU the night I attended his first game at the helm. Everyone posited that the Beavers would be sub-DII in quality and be crushed by everyone after the LaVonda Wagner debacle but they handily dusted off Long Beach State that first night and haven't looked back.
