Please explain why ESPN is blessing us with three AAC games today? Including this thing which can't even be called a game. Maybe if Geno put in his two walkons and he and the assistants suited up it would become a game.

WTG ESPN!

Does UConn winning games 100-0 get better ratings than close game involving 2 non-UConn teams or why else do all these games get ESPN coverage?

Gotta let the masses know there's only 1 team in NCAA WBB that's worth caring about! Smile

And was the N Dame - Clemson game so much better? That game was closer only because the Irish don't play great defense. but it was no more entertaining unless you are a ND fan. And at least we get to watch this game at both ends of the court instead of missing every ND possession that came after a Clemson made basket.

I'd guess ESPN has a contract with the AAC that includes X number of wbb games. At least we get to watch one team play well as opposed to the Tenn - Ga game where no team played well.

It's wcbb. And it is what it is.

I... think you may have missed a flyover by the sarcasm plane.

The Huskies (18-1, 8-0 American Athletic) haven't loss since falling at Stanford 88-86 in overtime on Nov. 17. UConn's seven wins in January have come by 36, 38, 59, 34, 42, 55 and 65 points.

UConn has scored at least 92 points in five of the last six games despite resting its starters a lot because the Huskies were so far ahead.

"We're just in a place right now where, especially with our starters, the points just come so easily and come so quickly when we're making shots like that," coach Geno Auriemma said. "We're in that mode right now where we're just making a lot of shots."

.....

Auriemma struggles with finding the balance between playing his starters enough and resting them in lopsided games.

"It's not ideal," he said. "It's not easy on them. I don't know. We just keep going and do what we do and see what happens down the road."

I think this kind of speaks more to the difference between being challenged and winning a game by 20ish vs what is happening with UConn. Everything just comes so easy and the starters are resting or UConn goes zone (according to Cincy Coach, UConn went zone early and was nice to them). It probably won't happen due to the quality of coach that Geno is, but this is where a team could lose their "edge" so to speak. When you can sleepwalk through every game in your league it would be easy to become complacent. Again, I can't imagine that will happen to the Huskies because of Geno and his staff.

ESPN is so proud of themselves that they're showing this again at 11:00 tonight.

Why? Confused

As with many games- not just in-conf.- uconn stopped running after halftime.
