Probably the biggest test for Charli's Devils thus far. ASU is surprising. I didn't see them in a position to challenge for the PAC title. But she's got her kids believing.

Turner-Thorne has really transformed into an overall really good, solid coach since having a baby. Her teams have always been known for great "D" but the offense was sometimes really, really ugly (sorta like CVS at Rutgers). The past two seasons, this is not the case. They are much more fundamentally sound both offensively and defensively and to top it off, she hasn't gotten the really elite players that most coaches would need to be in this position. Kudos to her and how she's improved so much as a coach. I'll be pulling for them today.

ASU abusing the Stanford post thus far.

Is it just me and my tinted glasses or is ASU getting a lot of out-of-bounds call going their way?

Cardinal need a run here to stay in this one.

I kind of expected this, with the way ASU has been playing.

This is a team UConn lost to?

ASU making Stanford look like cellar-dwellars.

Right on! I admit I am personally predisposed to not like ASU just because they usually make the game ugly, but this group of young women has won me over in spite of myself. I find myself rooting for them because I've never seen any team that works so hard on every play and does it so unselfishly.

I think they are still too low in the polls, and I can say that without fear of looking stupid today, or next week, because they will just not quit on anything until the play goes their way! It really is a remarkable display of hard work overcoming a perceived lack of talent. And it is frustrating to play against them because they make it look like your team is mailing it in by comparison.

What a game!

ASU, you got way too hesitant to shoot in the second half, that's why you almost lost. Shocked

Any ranking for them feels like an over-ranking for them.

How many weeks ago? They can't coast on that all season! Nobody else gets to coast on ONE WIN.

Stanford gets no credit for sweeping the Washington Schools? I mean, Washington State did beat Maryland.

The fact of the matter is that one win is over one of the best teams in the nation. No one else can say that they've beaten UConn. Laughing

That's almost as big a fluke as Stanford beating UConn

The last time ASU beat Stanford in Palo Alto was over 3 decades ago. CTT was a guard on that team.

Looking forward to the DEvil Beaver fight on Sunday.

Is there something wrong with Tara? I ask as Stanford had a great game plan against Uconn then I watch this game where CTT schools her. They had no game plan, the players looked unprepared, the same freshman post that did well against Uconn has regressed. Greenfield is such a wimp especially on defense why is she playing.

The rankings are what they are. All teams seem to be up and down.

Good question. Stanford does not look like a very well coached team lately. The new offense is a mess. Was there no other offense they could have chosen to fit the team if that had to ditch the old triangle? They don't rebound either. Or screen very well in an offense that requires continual ball screens. What gives?
