I can not think of any other injury in women's sports that universally conjures up so much foreboding and dread than an ACL tear.

Texas has just been killed with injuries. They are seeing a potential breakthrough year evaporate. Really feel bad for the injured players but feel sorry for the entire team and their fans too.

Horrible, I guess it's too late to redshirt too? I thought she was playng her way to top 8 in the draft. Now mayne the Lynx pick her up at 12?

The Lynx already have Taylor and the girl from Notre Dame. Drafting her is just redundant.

I suppose it's a possibility to pick her up at #11, but I'm hoping the Lynx can find someone to compete with McKenith. It's kind of an important position since Whalen gets more and more tired at the end of games with each passing year. Is there a rookie lead guard out there that Reeve will be happy with? I doubt it.... but they gotta keep trying.

Damn. I am a Tennessee fan, but I really had hopes for Texas in the E8 or even FF this year. Crying or Very sad

Tell Reeve to sign Prahalis: we'd have a backup PG and Jet Jaguar would become a huge Lynx fan, so we'd all win!

End of tangent.

Really. That kid has a HUGE upside, and a bright future as a pro. Hopefully, she'll be picked up by someone

I agree. Though thankfully women who do suffer ACL tears can now come back from them to have successful careers. It used to be an ACL tear meant you were done athletically.

Someone on another board pointed out that volleyball also has a large percentage of knee injuries.
