Along UConn vs Temple, which, I predict, will at least be as close as year's Super Bowl, and not have horrible commercials during the breaks. Smile

Terps need to get something going in transition. Can't seem to crack this zone.

Dixon for Iowa is awesome, I mean everything she throws up you just assume will go in.

Really fun game, high tempo and good offense.

Terps getting lots of calls.

Iowa playing very good basketball and if playing anywhere but College Park would be up by double digits.

Just a horribly officiated first half IMO. And I couldn't care less who wins.

The bailout call given to Lexie Brown (who happens to be on the "Need to Know" list, which is just LOL) was especially horrid.

If today is Maryland's Super Bowl, I wonder what their Pro Bowl was? Smile

Every coach says stuff like that...there are plenty of things to beat up Frese about but that wasn't one of them IMO.

Really feel for Iowa. They deserve to win this game but it doesn't look like it's going to play out that way.

It is 80-75 Maryland with 5 mins to go

Cheerfully disagree. Smile If a reg. season Feb 1 game, at home, is their SB....

I like how Iowa plays. They are solid and smart and have enough talent to beat some higher-rated teams.

Very good game. I hope the NCAA matches up Iowa with someone like DePaul in the 1st round of the tournament it will be raining 3's if so.

Watching Iowa is like the women's version of the Warriors, except in this game I felt like their 3 point shooting was affected a little by the length of Maryland's perimeter players. Otherwise they would have aired out 10 more threes.

I couldn't watch either. No access to big ten network, wind gusts here affect my reception. I'm not watching anything.

Great game to see in person. Iowa is a very good team--the can really shoot! Terps hung in tough though and Brown came up BIG.

Iowa is an excellent team! What a game. Perfect for a #1 vs #2 conference match up on national tv. And for those of us lucky enough to be there, it was a tense exciting battle between well matched opponents. Great game. Two teams with different styles, but both so talented. That one was memorable.

Both games referenced: UConn vs. Temple and Maryland vs Iowa, were on ESPN2 and not BTN.

Hmmm....I thought you didn't like those (Midwestern?) teams that are loaded with blonde 3-pt shooters.... Shocked Laughing

I actually like them a lot, too. Their fg/3s/ft % were excellent to phenomenal (52/53/81), but the rebounding and FT differentials killed 'em.

Maryland, meanwhile, continues to look like a solid 2 or 3 seed for next month.

Good, high quality Big Ten game.

3 seed? Maryland is already ranked #5 and nobody from the Big Ten is gonna beat them. They are #1 seed.

My mistake. I thought there was a game on CBS. This is about the time of year they start showing more women's games.

If any two of Baylor, Oregon St, or Notre Dame win out (and South Carolina doesn't lose more than one game), then Maryland could be a #2 seed.
