Another former player is back in the coaching ranks, Da'Shena Stevens is coaching at her alma mater St. John's now. Wouldn't it be interesting if her sister wanted to join her at St. John's? For those that don't know, her younger sister is Duke's Azura Stevens.

Division II: Minnesota-Duluth

UMD Women’s Basketball Coach Annette Wiles Resigns

Quote:
Minnesota Duluth women’s basketball coach Annette Wiles resigned Monday morning after seven seasons with the Bulldogs, citing an unhealthy work environment at the university.

She is the third female head coach to leave the UMD athletic department this year following Shannon Miller, the former women’s hockey coach, and Jen Banford, who served as women’s hockey director of operations and head softball coach.

Syracuse loses a coach, Kelly Gibson is now at Rutgers. Rutgers still has one more opening to fill though.

Any confirmation on this? She's still listed on the 'Cuse site.

Kelley Gibson is now official at Rutgers, and they've also announced the hiring of Ervin Monier, formerly of LaSalle and USC.

Sasha Palmer goes from Syracuse to Wisconsin. That's two Cuse coaches who left for other assistant jobs this year.

Notre Dame has announced that Niele Ivey has been promoted to associate coach while maintaining her role as the women’s basketball program’s recruiting coordinator.

Guess she's not going anywhere anytime soon.

They also announced last month that Katie Capps, who spent 11 years on the staff at Kansas, was named director of womens basketball operations (the job Natalie Achonwa filled on an interim basis last year while rehabbing her knee).

Well, at least not this year. (Not a crack about Ivey, but a recognition that movement always is possible, particularly if the right job becomes available.)

All three assistants are now "associates" - Carol Owens being "associate head coach". Does any other program use the term "associate coach" when not referring to an "associate head coach"?

She is a new assistant coach. Kelsey is still the head coach at Wisconsin.

Vanderbilt just hired my Bruins' video coordinator, Wendale Farrow, as their new assistant coach. Great step up for Wendale. Big congrats.

Any rumblings on Hofstra's search for an assistant? The posting has been taken off of the NCAA job site, but still remains on the HU website.
