Two years in a row a Dayton assistant goes to Kentucky. Jabir's gotta be telling Mitchell stop plucking my coaches!

No news on UGA, is Joni Crenshaw retaining the old staff? That would leave her with just 1 opening, her old AC spot.

Let's see if she's willing to work hard in California. It would be nice to see a UCSB presence in the Bay Area and Sacramento, something that's been sorely lacking, even when Mark French had the Gauchos winning 20 games a year.

That link had everything in the article blocked but the first line. Any revealing explanations given?

As you go along you want to see improvement and I dont think we saw enough improvement where (Kelsey) was satisfied or we were satisfied where the performance merited a rolling contract, Alvarez said.
Asked to quantify expectations for womens basketball next season, Alvarez said he wanted to see us more competitive than we have been.

While the article made the point that Kelsey and two other UW coaches were not getting contract extensions, her current contract that they are maintaining, has another four years on it. It seems odd to be talking extension when someone has four years to go, but apparently that is the Wisconsin style - to look to extend coaches each year when they are happy with them. The fact that they didn't extend her is considered "putting her on alert".
Kelsey originally got a five year contract when she was hired in April 2011. So that took her through April 2016. Then last year her contract was extended an additional three years through 2019.

They make you answer a couple of questions if you aren't a subscriber. I think it's better than other sites that require you to be a subscriber or apply for a subscription._________________ If you cannot inspire yourself to read a book about women's basketball, or any book about women's sports, you cannot inspire any young girl or boy to write a book about them. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/Richardstrek |

DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois University women's basketball coach Kathi Bennett has resigned, NIU Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Sean T. Frazier announced Wednesday.
Bennett compiled a record of 57-93 in five seasons at NIU.
Frazier said a national search for a new head women's basketball coach will begin immediately.
"We thank Coach Bennett for her years of dedication to NIU and wish her the best in the future," Frazier said. "We will work diligently and quickly to find the best person and coach to lead the Huskie women's basketball program going forward."
The Huskies posted a 12-17 record in 2014-15.

I think Robert Mosley has been retained by Joni Crenshaw, he is still listed on the website along with the new assistant Karen Lange.

LSU has had an AC opening since last year. Is there any reason why they are taking so long to hire someone? Pretty sure every other BCS school with an opening actually lost something in the past month or so, so its understandable they would take al ittle longer.

Some more assistant coaching shakeup and this to me was really unexpected. Rutgers just lost two assistant coaches with Chelsea Newton going to Georgia and Tia Jackson going to Miami.
UGA's staff right now is Karen Lange and Chelsea Newton. I think Robert Moseley was retained but not 100% sure. That leaves Angie Johnson as the coach not retained from that staff.
