The Illinois transfers are missing in that link - Grant (DePaul) and Gleason (?).

Some said that Sarah Imovbioh are visiting Connecticut & South Carolina. I think Tiffany Suarez is going to FGCU.

Amy Okonkwo a frosh at Southern Cal has been granted her release.

For those of you keeping score, that's Coop with four transfers and Swoopes with five

I don't see any transfers from Loyola-Chicago on that list above, am I missing something? Question

Interesting, any word on what schools she is looking at? I thought with the graduation of USC's top 2 post players she would be in the mix for a bigger role next season.

Wherever she goes has to be a better place. IMO.

Interesting - didn't Indiana also just have a bunch of players transfer?

I wonder where Bell and Grimm will end up after leaving Marquette also.

Minnesota has some openings.

And I read that Bell originally gave a verbal commitment to Minnesota so that seems like a good candidate for where she might end up. Well and her being from Minneapolis certainly doesn't hurt either.

Bell is transferring to Minnesota! Very Happy

Thanks. They hadn't made this thread or the list that was published a bit earlier. Sorry Destiny Washington isn't returning, she showed some promise. I wonder if academics finished some of them (Loyola isn't an easy school) and maybe disappointment for the others. Glad Taylor Manuel is staying though.

At least one of the players cited Swoopes as being a reason for transfer.

Quote:
Freshman Courtney Williams is one of the players who will not return to the team next season, but she said on-court problems were not the main reason for her departure.

“It was a lot of stuff off the court that [Swoopes] made difficult, but as far as her coaching style, it wasn’t really a factor,” said Williams. “It was a lot of stuff that was unrelated to basketball.”

There are always going to be coach/player conflicts. Some coaches make players give up their Twitter accounts for the duration. You think all players are going to like that? *shrug*

Rumor that McKenzie Calvert may be leaving Southern Cal as well.

If so, that would leave USC with only 6 returning players, and two of them barely play.

They will also have Sadie Edwards at the end of the year who transferred from UCONN as well as two incoming freshmen.

Alana Simon, a JC transfer out of Chabot Jr. College in N. Cal has signed a LOI to play for the OSU Cowgirls next year. Simon is a 5'8" guard.

(Team mascot corrected)

At the end of the 2013/14 season the USC roster shows 11 available to return for 2014/15 plus 4 freshmen. A year later they have 6 returning plus 2 freshmen and a transfer.

Edwards is probably not eligible until conference play.
That gives USC 8 players, two incoming freshmen and two who rarely play.
Lets hope they all stay healthy because I dont think the NCAA allows a team to borrow players from their opponents if they cant field a team.

LOL when I saw "Cowboys" my immediate thought was "Dallas? WHAT" Rolling Eyes Probably would be better to put OSU or otherwise specify which Cowboys for those of us not familiar with all the team nicknames.....

Sorry. Still giggling.

It's okay, they're actually the Cowgirls anyway.

LOL. Yes, I am. It's even in the story that's linked in the original post.

OK State and Centenary are among the few schools exempted from my general belief that mascot names should not be gender-differentiated.

I have to giggle on the odd occasion when someone refers to the JMU women's team as the "Lady Dukes." What? And no, they're not the Duchesses either. Laughing

I don't think they would. At least I'm pretty sure the one I know would laugh herself silly.
