Wow, that's amazing! My son-in-law had an MCL, and it's *sort of* healed, not as well as he'd like but he gets around on it fine. If it had been an ACL he'd have had to have surgery, no two ways about it. I didn't get why until I read the article.

I have always suspected that the medical professionals generally had a real problem thinking outside the box in respect to innovative procedures and preventative sleeves or braces. The educational requirements in the field do not lend themselves to be compatible with much creativity.

But the real benefit should be to lessen the arthritic conditions that occur in these knees later in life . For these athletes that have had 2 or 3 (or even more) ACL surgeries , I can't imagine what it will be like for them at age 40 trying to walk on those knees .
