I know I saw this in a thread someplace but I could not find it. Anyway, I got an email today from the Cardinal Varsity Club about Fan Pay and it was very clear that is a big NO and people are in no way allowed to make donations nor are student-athletes allowed to take money from the.
Ball State and the MAC have filed cease and desist papers against Fan Pay to remove images and logos of Ball State and the SAs.
I am shocked the NCAA has not shut those morons down.

| That was the thread, but the name is different... Wonder if it is the same thing with an alias or there are two scams out there.

UBoost paid schools based on success in recruiting specific players, this one apparently gives "graduation gifts" to individual players. This one sounds even worse in terms of the NCAA.

| The NCAA doesn't really have any power over entities that aren't schools, so it can't really shut them down. Of course, if the schools give even the slightest indication they're cooperating, the NCAA will go after them hard.

And they could suspend or ban players and sanction schools even if the schools aren't cooperating or don't want to participate. Promising a cash graduation gift to a current player is plainly prohibited.

| I don't support this but isn't it a little hypocritical to condemn "graduation gifts" while for decades, players have been given huge loans from banks based on their "future earning potential" in order for the players to insure themselves for millions against injury? It seems that the NCAA has no problem with players monetising themselves as long as the result keeps them in school where the NCAA can profit from their talent.
