I know who I would take at #1. After that it's difficult to sort it out.

Please don't let me have the no. 1 pick, because it's not so clear cut for me. Laughing

The Nov. 9th date is fine for me, either as a Drafter Orderer Picker, or as a 10th man, if I'm needed to *fill out* the Reb's roster. Very Happy

It looks like you will be #10 my friend! When should we draw straws? I'm anxious to know my position. Can we trust you to draw names even if you're on one of them? I'm thinking we'll draw for the 10 of us and if someone else comes along who begs enough, we'll just put them in position #11, which isn't a bad place to be anyway.

I'm hesitant to pick the draft order until we can confirm that Queenie isn't playing this year. It's still early for the order to be picked--and Queenie has been such a stalwart that I'd be surprised if Queenie didn't desire to play again actively this year.

I'm thinking she's back from her LA taping, no? Or maybe not! Shocked

Cappie? Obviously he would know. Over in 51, it sounds like she's been back awhile.
Well basically Howee has said he will play if she doesn't so we still have that spot covered.

On second thought, I think we should include both Queenie and Howie. I'm going to have to expand my spreadsheet anyway so one more shouldn't make a difference and we need another rookie to pound on! Then if Queenie opts out, we'll leave that spot open.

You certainly can do that....I up for the challenge. Cool

I s'pose if I'm *in*, I don't get to determine draft order....do I? <cackle, cackle!> We could do it by age, or some other random-but-established criteria.

I have elected to serve as my husband's assistant GM this time around, so go forward without me.

So do we have a neutral party who wants to pull names to determine our draft order? Here's our 10 crazies (not in any particular order here):
GEF
HappyCappieQueenie
tBinta
LynxMania
Stephen Shirley
TigerMojo
Myrtle
Howee
newkid
Cardinal

I think we should go by AGE....eldest first( Very Happy Very Happy )! Another do-able way, is whose birthday comes up first, next, etc.

not sure i really want to go first. look at my avatar - I might be over 110! or it might create liars out of all of us. hmmm?

and since you & I are the only oldies, the youngsters might not think this was fair...

I'm good with the order you just listed our names in. Wink

Seriously though, I don't have a problem drawing names, and so no one believes I rigged it, I'm go last in the 1st round, since I don't typically have an issue with people even considering players I consider, I don't have a problem going last.

Gef, that would be fine if you'd like to do it. But you should include yourself in the draw. If anyone questions it, I'll punch 'em out. Cool

Besides I've already figured out some of your picks Very Happy

I'm sure you have, you've seen my lists for the past couple of years. Laughing Laughing

And if no one has a problem with it, I'll do the drawing and I'll include myself.

So next thing is setting a date for the draft. Thinking that if we plan ahead it will make it easier? I will throw one out for consideration and you all can say yea or nay and if nay, please post better days/times that work for you.

My thought was Sunday Nov 9 at 7 pm Eastern.

Good date...especially weekends for me

I can do either Sat, Nov 8 or Sun, Nov 9. And I'm happy for GEF to draw the draft order. Cool

what's the timer for making a pick during the draft?

I was just thinking: 13 picks per 10 people is just over 2 hours if you only get 1 minute, so...this could take hours and I, being old, have a bedtime!
