Apparently there are two other discrimination suits set for trial.

Apparently there was nothing in the settlement agreement to keep her and her lawyer from talking to the press. That's kind of unusual.

They may have a little more trouble with Jenny Moshak. That one does not involve Pat at all, in my understanding.

The settlement agreement has to be a public document because of the amount and the involvement of a public entity/institution. Why have a confidentially clause or a non-disparagement clause when you have a public document (and assuming that TN would not agree to mutual clauses, since it is much more difficult to control all employees who might comment).

I think those make sense as reasons, but it is still unusual, and likely already a source of annoyance for the Tennessee athletic department (which doesn't bother me at all).

Of that $320k, the attorney gets just over $116k...damn. The percentage these attorneys get never ceases to amaze me. That's only about 2 1/2 times as much as the average American makes in a year.

You refer to "the attorney", but it is almost certain there is more than one. I'm not defending the magnitude of the attorneys fees, just observing there is not enough information to draw the conclusion you drew.

Also keep in mind that some portion of that likely is expenses advanced by the lawyers as the case was proceeding. That can run to a surprising amount of money.

I get all that...and yes, the attorney has overhead costs as well...I get it. That said, a lot of money was made by them in just this one case.
