They have received $1M+ contributions from several current or former NBA players including Patrick Ewing ($3M), Jeff Greene and Roy Hibbert. Will house both men's and women's basketball.

The four-story, 144,000-square foot building will be named the John R. Thompson Jr. Intercollegiate Athletics Center.

No, they'll still play at McDonough, and the men will still play at Verizon Center.

Ah, McDonough, such a fine place to play a middle school game.

A few years back, I talked to a Georgetown booster I knew about the WCBB program. He was telling me about a review they'd done of all of the sports to decide where to put their money. The gist was that they'd decided WCBB wasn't worth the effort because it would be so expensive to improve the program, so the resources were going to go to things like field hockey and women's lacrosse, where they thought they could get a better bang for the buck.

Now, things may have changed since then - Pat Knapp finally left, after all - but they're still playing in McDonough, which looks like they haven't spent a dime on it since Kennedy was President.
