I don't see the same as they do with their top ten.

There are plenty of questions about the Sporting News' attempt to cover WCBB.

In the top 25, I think Tennessee is too low and Stanford, UCLA, and Baylor seem too high. Duke may be too high as well, and being unaware that Alexis Jones is out for the season and has transferred is pretty bad.

As for the AA teams, I would put Izzy and KML on the first team and probably remove Jones, Johnson, and/or Martinez. And I think it's sort of weird putting those 3 freshmen as AA's, even if it's 3rd team (as they haven't played a minute of college ball yet).

For the Preps, I would replace Higgs with Collier and perhaps replace Hosey with Ogunbowale. And Tea Cooper does not have a spot in the top 15 prep players?

Some very odd choices, to be sure, but not disgraceful ...

UCLA is much, much too high. If the Bruins are going to make a splash this season, I want them to creep up on people. We aren't even sure if coach Close can coach elite talent, so too many variables to consider.

I'm glad they recognize Nirra Fields enough to put her first team. I didn't quite think she played that well for Canada in the few games she's played. I think she is much better than what she displayed, but that coach is kind of clueless to what she is doing for Canada and doesn't really know how to use the talents she has. No real set plays on offense as everyone seems to just be running around trying to create something.

It's going to be a fun season. I hope that someone can unseat UConn and surprise us but I don't think so. Geno has all the right tools he needs and some and we all know as far as his coaching goes, he's a mastermind at getting his players to play at a high level and in sync. Muffet is the only coach who has figured him out, but she needs much more elite talent to beat him than she has right now. UConn has 4 (oops should be 3) legit first team AA's as far as I'm concerned. But they won't get all four of them named to the first team. That just won't happen. Jewel Lloyd is arguably the best guard in the country. She just doesn't have it as easy as Mo Jefferson does at UConn IMO.

I see SN thought more of the freshmen class than they did the sophomore class. I think Kaela Davis (GT), Allisha Gray (UNC), Alaina Coates (South Carolina) should made the 2nd or 3rd team. Allisha Gray didn't even get a mention in her own team's writeup.

That's crazy to me. IMHO, I thought Gray was the best freshmen in the country last year. Look at her numbers. She had great field goal percentages, was a great rebounder for a guard, and she had the intangibles that don't show up on the box score. She straight up out hustles everyone. The departure of DeShields may be a blessing in disguise for UNC.

Also imo Tyler Scaife of Rutgers also should have made 2nd or 3rd team.

I forget about Tyler. Kelsey Plum (Washington), and Dearica Hamby (Wake Forest) should've made 2nd or 3rd team too.

Agree on Gray being terrific. Hopefully she can stay healthy. Hamby is also an impressive player. Plum sort of of depends on when you see her play. She is a high volume shooter, which based on the results can make her look good or bad.

Just ask Stanford about Kelsey Plum.
