Two female high school basketball coaches are alleged to have had sex for years with students, one with boys and one with girls, all covered up by a male AD.

This is in my hometown.

If this story is true, then the coaches are disgraces to the profession and should be locked up forever.

You're saying the reporter phonied up a story? That the sources are bogus? That the quotes from the victims and their parents are fabricated? What?

I should clarify that Staten Island is not my hometown now, but was where I was born and raised and went to high school. The New York Post was my favorite newspaper during my college days in the 60's. Absolutely the best sports section and political columnists. Some good daily comic strips, too.

*shrug* Merely that it's a sensationalist rag and not always to be trusted. YMMV

Ahahahahhahahahahahahhaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahhhhh.

I live in New York City. The Post is only legitimate because it's existed so long, not because of any kind of journalistic quality. You get better news from the free dailies they hand out at the subway.

i used to live in NYC - in fact, i lived in East Village for 3 years. Loved each minute of it - but let's face the truth: You read the NYT and drop it on any subway train, someone will pick it up eventually but not now. WSJ? Practically almost never. NY Post & NY Daily News - someone will pick it up after you drop it right away. Like it or not, regular people do read it more than NYT or WSJ in the city.

NY Post is the 6th largest circulation newspaper in the country. It has had decent coverage of girls high school basketball over the years.
