If you aren't sure whether your team merits its own thread, toss it in here!

St. John's. I'm really hoping they get that second game for the Maggie Dixon, because I do not want to pay Garden prices for the dubious privilege of being surrounded by thousands of UConn fans. I might try to get out to that Yale game, but Marist is a weeknight. Sad

At a minimum (gets on his annual soap box), have Army come in and play, since they should play in the Maggie Dixon every year.

Minnesota schedules like this and then complains each year when they get no benefit of the doubt from the committee. They won't get the benefit of the doubt next March either.

You want to be taken seriously? Play somebody.

I wonder how much Stolling and staff had to do with putting this schedule together.

Well we know one game they had nothing to with - on the road at NCSt. The league made them play that one, the best game on the list.

The first round matchup in the Gulf Showcase should be interesting as well provided Vandy's Becca Dahlman is ready to play. That game will feature three of the most prolific Minnesota prep scorers not named Taylor Hill: Dahlman vs Minnesota's Rachel Banham and Carlie Wagner. The lucky winner likely gets UCONN.

Sunday, Nov. 16 – at Delaware
Saturday, Nov. 22 – at Northeastern
Monday, Nov. 24 – vs. St. John’s
Friday, Nov. 28 – vs. Baylor (BTI Classic)

St. John's certainly the marquee home game. Northeastern, UA and BU are all return games. Baylor (Ouch!), Utah State and SDSU are all first time opponents. No nights off in this lineup for a Marist squad looking to replace 3 starting seniors.

You mean you don't find the "Cyclone Challenge" challenging?

Have total control over who to invite to your home tournament and end up with Brown, UC Riverside and Howard. Aren't there typically two patsies and one credible opponent in these things?

Why do you guys always seem to have so many weeknight home games, and get most of the good ones on weeknights, year in and year out? Sad But that SDSU game on 12/21... ooooooh. DO WANT.

I think the standard is two patsies and one credible-looking opponent. You don't want someone you think actually can beat you.

Central Michigan (sorry if already posted somewhere)

Nov. 16 - UMass
Nov. 22 - Kentucky

Las Vegas Tournament
Nov. 27 - vs. Richmond
Nov. 28 - vs. Oregon

Dec. 6 - @ Memphis
Dec. 13 - @ Dayton
Dec. 16 - Delaware State

Minnesota Tournament
Dec. 20 - vs. South Carolina
Dec. 21 - vs. Minnesota

Dec. 28 - Oakland
Dec. 31 - Dayton

That's a pretty challenging schedule.

The Minnesota schedule was sort of posted earlier but here's the schedule:

Nov. 14 - Southeastern Louisiana
Nov. 19 - Cleveland State
Nov. 23 - @ Memphis
Nov. 25 - Southern

Gulf Coast Showcase
Nov. 28 - vs. Vanderbilt
Nov. 29 - vs. UConn or College of Charleston
Nov. 30 - vs. Arizona State/Georgia Tech/Green Bay/Villanova

Dec. 3 - @ NC State
Dec. 7 - Butler
Dec. 10 - @ North Dakota

Gopher Classic
Dec. 20 - Liberty
Dec. 21 - Central Michigan

The reason why I wanted to post this was after seeing the CMU schedule, it shows them playing South Carolina in Minnesota. It would appear that the Gophers didn't want anything to do with South Carolina so they made it a classic with predetermined opponents as opposed to being a tournament.

Here's Rutgers, it was posted before also. But I guess this is where it should have gone.

Nov 14 vs St Joseph's
Nov 18 vs Northeastern
Nov 22 @ LSU
Nov 25 @ Wagner
Nov 28 vs Colgate
Nov 30 vs Davidson
Dec 4 vs UNC (ACC/B10 Challenge)
Dec 7 @ Arkansas
Dec 10 @ Temple
Dec 14 vs Tennessee
Dec 20 @ Iona

I wouldn't know first hand, but my best guess is that the court has to be shared by WBB with MBB and WVB. Only so many weekends available as these programs season's run concurrently. Giorgis also schedules "up" as much as practicable so the pool of opponents might be more limited than it could otherwise be if he just took a game because it was on a weekend. I think Marist fans might first ask why so few home games. 3 last season, 4 this year. Despite the dearth of home dates last season, Marist was able to schedule the two most attractive opponents, Kentucky and Oklahoma on a Friday and Saturday respectively. I know Marist fans have a tremendous amount of respect for Mitchell and Coale for coming to Poughkeepsie. Twice now for Coale and she seems to love the atmosphere generated by the crowd in the close quarters of the McCann Center. I can't imagine that the St John's game won't draw a huge crowd despite it being a Monday. The students really support the program not to mention that so many in the student body reside in the tri-state metro area and grew up with St. John's as the big time sports college in the 5 boroughs. I imagine that the Sport Communication Program will come up with some kind of a promotion aimed at the students as they have in the past. Big time opponent and the home opener with a "David vs Goliath" storyline.

Too bad the students are gone for the SDSU game, but the community will come out. I'm sure Giorgis is going to be out there talking about "the best program fans in these parts never heard" of is coming to town on 12/21.

The SEC league schedule was released today, so here a few who hadn't previously announced non-conference scheds:

Florida
Georgia
LSU
Missouri

Mostly cupcake-filled as we've come to expect...

The South Carolina schedule is out now and they are playing in Minneapolis against Liberty and CMU. This seems weird; why come to MN to play 2 mid majors?

Well, UGA plays OhSt, GaTech and Mich St.

LSU, on the other hand, looks like Rutgers and . . . . . . . .

Considering the lineup that led to their grossly inflated 13-0 record last year, Ark's games vs Oklahoma, Iowa, Rutgers and Richmond represent a giant improvement.

Florida has a reasonable group of ACC, BE and Big10 teams.

I like that we're playing road games at Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, and Tulsa as well. We need the road experience before SEC play.
