South Carolina has announced they are committed to 4-year scholarships for athletes in the "head-count" sports - football, basketball, women's tennis and volleyball . Not sure if any other SEC schools have taken this step or not , but I imagine it's just a matter of time . South Carolina went a little farther than Southern Cal which made the commitment for football and basketball athletes , but not as far as Maryland which included athletes in the "equivalency" sports as well .
