Maybe a huge long shot but I have a soft spot for her and would love for her to get a break.

She won't be selecting her school, but rather is just paring her list from 11 schools to 5.

Louisville, Notre Dame, Ohio State, UCLA and Wisconsin.

Surprised that Duke is not on final list (and Louisville is) given the family's emphasis on academics. I was told several months ago that Duke had the early lead on this one.

Her brother plays football at Wisconsin. Could she be Bobbie Kelsey's first big recruit?

Some one is bitter. So what if a young woman is excited about her future and wants to have a little fun.

Why would you think bitter, thats a typical Genoism. The ones that are probably bitter are those that showed up in the Czech Republic and then got bounced off her list.

Why tweet this? What's the point. Obviously taking a shot at a young girl's choice to have a little fun. Why not tweet it yesterday or last week before she cut UConn from her list? Why tweet it a few minutes after Ogunbowale tweeted her final list? Seems bitter. He is a great coach though. The tweet just seems inappropriate and meaningless.

I hope it's not "typical" for him because it's a really snotty childish remark.

It's easy to be classy and hold the moral high ground when you're virtually always winning and getting whatever you want.

Yeah, which sent the boneyard into an hilarious multipage display of panty twisting and phony outrage over a non event and perceived slight. But this is a bush league crack about a 17 year old's rejection of Geno's overtures and her own choice for her own future and of course the same people leap to his defense because of course we all know that Geno can do no wrong.

He wins. He wins a lot. He's very good at what he does. Too bad he's such an arrogant asshole about it.

Anyone ever thought to think that these announcements aren't made for such as you and I or even Geno but to announce it to her friends and family and those Twitter followers that personally know her? We are invading her and numerous other young female ballers world's not the other way around. Seems like all of her friends were ecstatic to find out which colleges made the final 5 and also aided in setting up the big announcement. Let her be who she wants to be and do the things she wants to do. This does not reflect a "selfish" or "self-centered" young woman, but one who was excited to share this news with her followers. She's already proven that she is a total team player by helping the USA win the U17 title. I respect Geno as a coach because he's just simply a great coach and lately I had actually found myself defending him and liking him, but then he does something like this and I just can't seem to like him. Weird.

Looks like Muffett took a shot:

Honestly, it's not the initial tweet that I find inappropriate, but that hashtag tho...

And we aren't the only one's who think it was directed at AO's decision today. Check out who favorited this tweet directed towards Geno and Arike. Sorry but that tweet by Geno really irked me. It really, really did.

In the London Times's world university rankings, UCLA is ranked #12 on the planet, ahead of Duke (at #17), and also ahead of Arike's other 4 finalists.

Come on out to Westwood, Arike!
