the problem is that on the women's side, you pretty much score the highest if you go by the seeds...which is also the most boring. Now if we get a major upset in the next round, that will shake things up! |
I think that's pretty much true on the men's side too. You know upsets are going to happen, but how do you predict where?

Halfway through round two, we have a 5, a 7, and a 12 into the Sweet Sixteen. But to illustrate Myrtle's point, my bracket containing all-favorites is 20 points ahead of my BJKA bracket.
Our group is now ranked #37! |
*Bump*
Our group is temporarily in the 60's. And I'm temporarily back on page 1._________________ If you cannot inspire yourself to read a book about women's basketball, or any book about women's sports, you cannot inspire any young girl or boy to write a book about them. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/Richardstrek |

My bracket became a flop. That's what happens when you forget that West Virginia always underachieves come tourney time, and you pick Oregon State to go to a regional final, and you like Iowa's chances against Louisville....

Halfway through the Sweet Sixteen, the group is now #19.
Take a look at the number one group. Something is fishy. It has fifty members, a total score of 650 points, and an average of 650 points. Fifty members, all owned by the same person, I am quite sure, judging by the team names and only one of them has a bracket. I hope that makes whoever it is feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The a$$hole.

I have Maryland, UConn, Notre Dame and Stanford in the Final Four. My Maryland win should move me up in the standings.
Also, thank goodness this UNC/SCar game was close...it turned out to be the only Sweet Sixteen match up decided by single digits. That is a big problem with women's basketball right now IMO. I mean, the men just had a most amazing weekend of games from Thursday right through to today. I think the women's games will be close from here on out, but these games have been ridiculous thus far.

And we are now ranked #7! I am embarrassed to say my bracket has gone from anemic to life support. I still have UConn and Notre Dame playing for the title, but the bottom half of my bracket is dead to me! I am officially far below the group average and falling like a rock.

Well, going with Maryland and UNC has brought me up to the top of Page 2. Sorry bottom for letting you down. Now, if UNC can take down Stanford, I might get to Page 1.
