Really good player and pickup for KY. A real PG for them, not something it seems like they usually have. Played for the USA Basketball U16 team.

Kentucky has never played ball control offense so I don't know if they would know what to do with an elite point guard if they had one. Prior to her injury, I believed Amber Smith would have been the key point to the Kentucky team that featured Victoria Dunlap, Armani Franklin and the young Mathies. But the coaching staff relied on 94 feet of defensive pressure to create quick layups/scoring opportunities and that was usually through Mathies.

Last year was supposed to be the new look spread offense for the Kentucky WIldcats, but really nothing changed. With a complete change over assistant coaches, maybe Mitchell is in a better place to utilize a high calibre point.

Fullcourt pressure, relying on steals and aggression, will work in the regular season, but in postseason, two things:

1) The teams are better, and it only takes one elite guard/ballhandler to break pressure;

2) Players are 30 games more experienced, which even for a senior is about a third of her career to that point, and are less likely to be rattled by pressure. (The press that works against a team in November often will not work in March.)

Mitchell recruiting different type of players now, especially at guard. Not as athletic, but better shooters, more skill. Along with Murry, Maci Morris and Lindsey Corsaro (2016) are both really good. Everything I've read about Morgan Rich and Sydney Shelton is that they rely on skills than athleticism. Even the post, Rice and Camara are quite skillful. They aren't just those athletic, high upside/potential types of post.

Nearly up to 400 verbal commitments after a big rush of commitments in August. I have also added the top 250 ranking when applicable next to the players name from the All Star Girls Report Top 250.

Nice get for Boyle. I believe Jones was also being recruited rather heavily by Duke/North Carolina/South Caroline at one point (I read about this, but it may have changed) so this could potentially a nice sign she's getting a North Carolina kid over those teams.

Virginia also hasn't had a lot of size in recent years.

Would be nice to start seeing top-flight recruits back in Charlotesville.

Erin De Grate out of Waco Texas verbals Louisville. A solid get for 'Ville as they need a good post player (DeGrate is 6'4"). Asia Durr and the Angela Salvadores, who put up 40 points against the US in the U-17 worlds, also visited the Cards this past weekend.

Nice to see Louisville finally get a big girl, and she looks fairly mobile for a big too. She may have to lose some weight to keep up with Louisville's running game but other than that she seems like a good pick up.

I have read elsewhere that Asia Durr intends to announce her decision next Tuesday.

Obviously I have no way to confirm this. But I thought everyone believed everything they read on the Internet, right?

I read the same...have no reason to believe it or not to believe it so I guess we will see soon enough. Im still hoping for the long shot that Louisville gets her lol but im guessing ND is where she will commit.
